What exactly does using the stones of change do for you? I have a couple 1,000 shards, other than 'bind' a weapon to myself and increase the hardness of the weapon, so it is more durable.... is there something else to it, that I am missing? Can you add an effect on it as well? (Im not referring to shroud crafting, but the stones of change outside the bank in the Marketplace)

The stone of change in the marketplace has a few useful things such as bonuses to AC check out ddo.enterwiki.net for more info but the main crafting isn't until the shroud but someone else will have to explain that one I haven't got there yet
