The North Am. Tribe of Oompaloompas has come to town! We started in Guild Wars (North Am. Tribe of Ogres - Oompaloompas just wouldn't fit) when it first came out, and this summer made the jump to DDO. We're a close-knit guild that is always looking for new quest and raid companions. While we'll pug with almost anyone, we do have to be somewhat selective in our membership and we're up-front with potential members about our expectations:
1. We all have lives. We work during the day and don't have the luxury of being up until ridiculous hours of the morning. Except on Fridays, then we break out the Red Bull and chase it with 5 Hour Energy.
2. We all have families. For some of us, that means stopping to help the wife or girlfriend; for others, it's stopping to change a diaper. Except on Friday nights (our sacred time), this may lead to some extended AFKs. This balance has helped our spouses and significant others to be much more understanding during raids.
3. We leave no guildie behind. If you miss a Friday and the rest of the guild flags for a raid, we spend the next time we're all on catching you up as best we can. No Oompaloompa Left Behind!
4. We like maturity. If you drop an F-bomb because you just clicked on a DD instead of a chest, that's cool. if you drop an F-bomb because you've just gone two words without cursing and are starting to show withdrawal symptoms, you're probably not cut out for us. We're not prudes, we just hear enough of it elsewhere. Likewise, switching from your +5 Adamantine Full Plate to a generic Outfit for a screenshot before the boss is dead because you like the look better isn't something we think is very funny.
If you think you have what it takes to put up with a bunch of thirtysomethings that play hard and play for fun, or if you're just looking for some decently non-annoying guys to PUG with, feel free to hit us up:
