I have seen signs everywhere that you are able to craft in ddo. However, I can't find any info on it. Can anyone help
me? Also, if anyone knows how to create anything with lumps of coal or festival twigs, an answer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Those "signs" are a bit misleading, because the crafting in DDO might not even deserve to be called that. It certainly doesn't fill the gameplay roles that "crafting" implies.
You should think of DDO's crafting as instead a way to customize the rewards from specific quests: Shroud, Stealer of Souls, and Tower of Despair. If you're not able to do those quests yet, then don't even waste your time thinking about so-called "crafting".
Put another way: There is no crafting for you, not in the forseeable future.

Except for these "minor" crafting recipes!

Not sure if there is a minimum level for these, but the altar in front marketplace bank, is where these are done.
Keep in mind, under current rules, there is no way to "deconstruct" eldritch rituals.
once you bind and attune an item, it's part of that toon!

There is no game-enforced minimum level, but it would be a tremendous mistake for a low-level character to use those recipes, when instead he could sell the ingredients for hundreds of thousands of plat.

Assusming of course that said lowlevel character even came to the mesage boards to know about crafting to know that the collectables are even worth that much.. Yea seen many a new character just hand them in and not know that they were actually valuable collectables..

Wasn't until my 3rd month of playing, with a few chars around lvl 8 as I sorted what kind of toon I wanted, that I "discovered" selling those things on the AH. I was sick to my stomach for a few days after I realized how much coin I threw away.

Read the stone of change rescipies in the link above. Most of the collectables used for those are valuable (except for things like prayer beads that are too common)

UC said that he was getting collectables that he could sell at lvl 8. I'm 12 now, and I haven't gotten anything on that site besides admantine ore.
