My kids got my system infected and I had to restore my whole system. Well now I can't get onto DDO. The folders are all still there and the files appear to be in them but It wont connect. I can't even get on DDO.com or the support page (but apparently I can' get on forums)

Perhaps I need to do a reinstall, but not even sure how to do that if I cannot get on DDO.COM is ther a link somewhere to reinstall files?

Today's update:
I managed to get the 4 Gig download started again then had to go to that place that prevents me from playing (or buying 100 mana pots it seems) called work:

I tried the launcher and it still won't get past the 20 attempts to connect to log on server. Hopefully after the download and reinstallation it will be resolved

Any thoughts? I still can't access ddo.com or support site from that puter.

This is just frustrating as heck. I checked the FAQ's regarding 20 attempts to logon failed and that isn't my resolution.. I also can't connect to Support site. GRR What do I have to do even be heard here?

I cannot go to official Support.turbine.com please HELP!

Oh and it's not the firewall I've compleely disabled it to see if that was the issue... No help... Does support even read this?

Most likely this is an after affect of the virus', check in Internet Explorer and make sure it can connect, then make sure that the malware didn't set itself up as a proxy for I.E. (open I.E. and click "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "Connections" tab > "LAN Settings" button) and look at the "Use a proxy option".

If you see anything like "localhost:7777" or "127.0.0.1:5555" or along those lines disable the "use a proxy" settings.

Also take a run through the stuff I posted here (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=2643659&postcount=13) as well and if you haven't yet open a support ticket (http://www.ddo.com/component/content/article/486-tech-ticket).

Random thought, do you think his IP stack could have gotten screwed up a bit also and he needs to reset it? (luckly, this shouldn't take a format/reinstall like most people end up doing to fix that issue.)

Well it seems my Symantec Firewall was the issue... I was able to connect again.. but now I find my kids got 3 other puters infected...... grrrr!
