Looking at building a Barb with splash

Im wanting to build a barb cause i love them as my first beta char was noe but never got into it enough, but now I am thinking a rolling anew one. My questions are should i roll up pure 20 barb or splash 2 fighter. Im thinking 2 fighter for the xtra feats and for tha armor master. Also debating between doing 2hf or 2wf ive read both Shades posts on either but both his build show pure barb. Thx for tha input ^^

For a new player, I'd say stay pure...

But if you have a very good plan for those two extra feats, you can splash two levels of fighter without hurting your barbarian...

Do NOT take less than 18 levels of barbarian though, or you will severely hurt your DPS.

if ya have to splash it splash in 2 levels of barb :D a pure barb is best thf and wail away. no need for armor mastery as you wont have a very high ac any way

I splashed 2 fighter and I don't regret it, in short your losing 3 willpower 2 str and 1 con (or something like that, it's not much) when you rage but you gain heavy armor a bunch of weapons tower shields and 2 bonus feats. Most people will tell you its not worth it a few will tell you its not bad but not optimum a few will tell you its a BAD BAD BAD idea. I say its really your choice. In the long run it's really down to opinion, do you want a capstone or 2 extra feats? That's the only real difference.

well i planned on staying min of 18 barb for frenzy but i dont rly see the pros to taking the xtra 2 lvls of barb if i splash fighter i could take haste and armor agility i know with a barb im not going to have high AC but i could still get a decent number for most things i would imagine. But im still in debate of 2hf or 2wf i would like to go 2wf just cause i like that play style but i would like to chag it up and run bastard swords hince the 2 lvls of fighter for the xtra feats. how do u feel about 2wf and should i go Dwarf and run jsut Dwarf axes or what i would like to do is run WF and bastard swords ^^
