So, Looking at the description of carnifex, can someone tell me what I'm missing? If I have Imp Crit: Slashing feat then doesn't carnifex just become a +2 Greataxe?
Is there something more than meets the eye here?

Carnifex has a base crit range of 19-20, other great axes are only a base of 20. Before the Keen.
Its got greatsword crit range and great axe multiplier.

Doesn't Carnifax have a 17-20 crit range?
NM, Junt's answered the question.

Why does the compendium have it marked down at 19-20 crit range with Keen, then?

ah... well, in that case I can see what the big deal is... I guess another couple times through Delera's won't kill me. :)

Remember, it’s now Bound to Account. So you can pull it once and send it to your alts via the Account wide bank.

I just picked it up this afternoon on my barb :)
Is it worthwhile getting rituals on it at all (e.g. force)? I don't have account wide bank available and, frankly, don't see any of my other characters using a 2hander.

Against critable mobs, what would you guys say is the next best THF weapon before greensteel?

Probably the Sword of Shadows (18-20/x3) - or, once IC:Slash is taken (15-20/x3)

Given the difficulty of getting a sos before greensteel, try for a holy of righteousness falchion
