Hey, help on a 28point paladin build please.

I've just started recently and i was wondering if anyone could help me build a 28 point paladin? Using two weapons and preferably a drow or a human. I have no clue where to start. =/

It's nearly impossible to build a good TWF paladin with only 28 points. If you need a place to start, though, 16 dex is a good place to start.

Technically, if he had a +2 tome at his disposal, he could start with a minimum of 15 for a TWF build.

But yeah, a 28-point TWF pally would probably be lacking somewhere. Pallys are notorious for having to stretch their build points a bit thin, as every stat can be important to them.

If you want to go Paladin with a 28 point you really should stick with a 2 Hander and not dual weilding. You would end up sacrificing way too much to get to the 17 dexterity number you need for Two Weapon Fighting. You could probably make a Halfling Dual Wield fighter with the Dragonmark enhancement which are like 1-4 Lay on Hands if you wanted a Dual weild character that could heal himself.

Since you seem pretty determined to do this do you have access to Drow and or a +2 Dex tome?

Yes, i have the drow but no +2 dex tome. I've never seen them before

But a low wisdom hurts for a new player... You won't be able to cast 1st level paladin spells until you get a 11 wisdom, so you'd probably have to wait until level 7 and a +3 wisdom item (or a +1 wis tome, and a +2 wis item)

Probably should make STR 15, and bump wisdom to 10 for a new player..

Basically the drow build I came up with, looks good and I personally would stick with 8 Wisdom, eat a +1 wisdom tome and get a +2 wisdom item. Paladins at low levels get so few spell points you probably wont miss the 30 sp you would have with a higher wisdom.

where do you get tomes?

You find them in chests... +1 tomes drop in level 8+ chests, +2 tomes drop in level 15+ chests I think...

You can also buy +1 tomes from the DDO store... or buy them off the Auction House (they're rather expensive...

If you can't afford a tome, use your level 4 stat-increase to increase Dex to 17 (you get to increase one stat at level 4,8,12,16,20 - normally you want to put them all in STR)

No please dont use a stat increase in Dex lol, they usually sell for about 20K plat on the AH on Khyber. If you are on Khyber I could probably check to see if I had an extra one, once you got the Pally rolled up.

Depending on the level of your other charecter I would reccomend trying to run a quest frequently to try to loot a rare drop from that quest. Check the Static loot guide in the user written strategy guide section, remeber though if it comes from the reward it cant be traded. Some good examples I can think of are:

STK: Ring of Feather (sells for 30K+ on Kyhber)
Xorian Cipher: Planar Gird (300K+++), Chaosgaurdes (100K+), Reavers Ring (???)

You can also run outdoor areas to find named loot out there, best one I can think of is the Mencharian (spelled wrong?) desert.

If you dont have any high level charecters you can also turn in collectables to get +1 lesser reptilian bane weapons that might still sell for decent on the AH.

If worse comes to worse you can always buy one from the Turbine store but they are not as good a value as the +2 tomes the store sells on special occasions.
