Help w/ "The Captives"

Freeplay newbie here...stuck in "The Captives."
I found the Grul Outpost, but the lever to open the gate is "blocked" and I can't find anything else to do/open/flip...

Try moving around a bit after you select it, and hit the U (Use) key, rather than clicking it.

Yeah, that switch is a bit buggy. Do what was said above.
