View Full Version : Keeping my groups

I've changed my mind. I'm staying in the groups now. I've had a string of very fun and effective pugs lately. Minus the two with piker's in them. We still cleaned up. I am cautiously optimistic that the first rush of idjits has passed...or at least out leveled my lowbies, and haven't reached my 17 fighter yet. (Well they've probably already hit 20, got bored and left)

If any of you were actually in those pug's and recognize me...

I'll bribe for you to not tell everyone how much I actually suck.

The pugs I have joined recently have been surprisingly effective and fun (of course not enough to give up a guild run but that would be snubbing rl friends, so a completely different matter). Communication has been good (probably more due to the voice chat than not). I have even seen the groups choose the more challenging path not out of ignorance, or cockiness, but for the opportunity to persevere through adversity. So, I agree and thanks to the other good players I have been able to join.

im still on the fence after the few really bad pugs ive had its just been easier to solo lately then go threw that. Ive had great pugs where I made friends from including new guilds that just formed (a czech one and a french one I believe) But all in all its just been easier for me on certain classes not to pug.

Hope I change this mentality soon but with winter break coming and more people on dont like my odds lol.

I have had two expensive shroud failures in a row thanks to PUGS...

... And both of those PUGS were tons of fun to be a part of.

Lol. I can handle shroud pugs for the most part.

If Im farming for shards I usually put up with it, but if im just trying to get completions or build my large stock, shroud pugs drive me crazy.

I'm still scared of them. I don't know the quest that well yet, so still need direction and g'luck with that in a pug. My guild hasn't been running raids lately for some reason... hopefully once they start up again, I'll get the experience to be able to survive a pug raid.

Also, Kalanth is a gimp that likes to trick innocent level 8's into a PvP pit and then jump them with two other level 20 friends. I got screenshots!

You got a point in there big guy? Cause if not I will just sit back, enjoy the gurgling sound coming from your character dieing again, and bask in the knowledge that no one loves you. :) ;)

I understand most of what was said, but am not sure what "piker's" means. (is this someone who zergs, or just an ass who goes out of his way to stop a groups progress in the quest) Ive heard the term before but never any clarification as to what it means.

Basically someone who might as well not even be there and has no effect on the quest one way or another. Hell sometimes I even park at the front door when I pike :P

I fail to see how this is considerate of others? Do you mean you roast them and eat them hence your mouth is full and the group doesnt have to listen to you blab?

Exactly! I mean, would you really want to know that I am not only sitting at the front door, but also talking your ear off?
