Can only log in with some characters, not others.

Wierd bug has hit me in the last hour or so. I was playing as normal when the game locked up as i was zoning from marketplace to house deneith. I thought nothing of it (occasional crashes are to be expected) but on restarting the game i find i can no longer log in with that character. I just get the loading screen after character selection with the "Loading...Please Wait" bar never filling up.

Even wierder, two other characters on the same server now also have the same issue, they no longer get past the loading screen when trying to get into the game. Three other characters on the same server all load in fine, and i was also able to make a new character and he loads fine as well.

Server is Cannith, the characters with the issue have nothing in common except that they are the last 3 characters i've played on that server, all within the last 24 hours. Characters that havent been played recently work, as did a new creation. I'm VIP if that's relevent, and i've been playing daily for several months with no issues until now.

Just hoping someone out there can tell me whats going on here, like if it's a known issue or not (i've been back through about 12 pages of tech forum and not seen anything related, but you never know).

Same issue for me although i have no idea what causes the bug.
but always good to know that I'm not alone with this problem

The same thing happened to me and my friend, i think its because a file in the area you were trying to load was corrupt or missing, anywho to solve it you just need to run one of your other characters thats not stuck into the same area as a stuck character, wait for it to load then logout and load the character that got stuck in that area. worked for me and my friend..but if your really high level(high level areas) i imagine this would be near impossible but its always worth trying.

server needs to let go of your characters.

typically you can just wait it out and be fine. 30 minutes I want to say seems to be what the consensus was.

hopefully they'll fix it with the next update.

Yeah, i gave up last night, and tried this morning and they're all fine.

Thanks for the input guys, seems kinda poor for this sort of issue to exist, if it'd been one of my scheduled static group nights i'd have been fairly annoyed :)

Well... if you plan to be on for hours, you can log in, put in a GM request and I think, not positive on this, but I think they can do something so you can get back into your character you want to. Granted that will take between 10-60 minutes regardless. (all depends on the GM work load.)
