My first post seems to have vanished.

Anyway, my friend has Dialup, and he is having trouble launching the game. It ran fine on comcast, at my home, but at his home he receives a web error. We looked the error up and attempted to solve the problem (cipher strength is 128 bits, his security settings are default, etc), and he can pull up the DDO site fine, on firefox. He cannot pull up DDO.com on IE, although he can pull up other pages. We don't know what would be causing the problem to IE that wouldn't affect firefox, and we're stumped trying to get DDO to launch for him. Any advice would be great, tyvm!

Does his system meet the minimum Requirements?

We need to see a DXDIAG of the system in order to help at all.

I'll get his specs in a sec. The weird thing is that it was his computer over at my house, so the only thing to change would be the tye of connection he has and its settings. I'd guess his computer meets the reqs, since it ran fine here, but I'll double-check.

Dial Up Sucks. although the game claims you can do it, I would never expect it to work very well. Simply too much latency.

Check to see if he's configured to use a proxy:

Open I.E. > Click on "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "Connections" (tab) > "LAN Settings" (button).

Also go under the "Security" tab and click the "Reset all zones to default" button and under Privacy make sure the slider there is on Medium/Medium-High.
