When i try to launch ddo it gives me the error Could not initialize Direct 3D. Please ensure that DirectX9.0c [Dec 2005] or higher is installed [105].
i have tryed the online support help for this but did not work anyone know how to fix please help me anyone

It sounds to me like you have another game running in the background, or else another application which is already using DirectX when you launch DDO.

If you don't have any DirectX applications running, screen recording software such as FRAPS or Xfire can cause this as well. Try shutting those down.

well i exited xfire but thts not working i dont know how to see if any other game is running in backround.....lol theres nothing on my bar on the bottom

Going back to basics here, I assumed that your computer is capable of running DDO in its current state.

Here's some more suggetions to make this work. Google will be your friend to figure out how to perform the following:

Make sure your computer is capable of running DirectX games. Some laptops and older video cards may not work.
Install DirectX 9.0c if you haven't already.
Repair or update DirectX if it is already installed.
Update your video card drivers from the manufacturer.
