View Full Version : Hitpoints to Tank

So I am already planning my next True Reincarnation with Valtana my Jack-of-all-trades build and want to know what is the realistic minimum hitpoints I should aim for if I want to tank ToD? I can already hit all the other raid benchmarks easily but am specifically wondering about that raid.

Currently I have her build maxing out at 549 HP fully raid buffed and in DoS I stance w/ a Yugoloth Pot. Valhelm (my full DoS III build) reaches 607-647 and from what I understand that should be enough for ToD. If 549 is just NOT going to be adequate for ToD then I may change her plan accordingly. Any info would be great, thanks!

***Edit*** Oh, if it helps she will have Evasion and a reflex save of 48 and Will save of 32.

You're fine already really; a rolled 1 vs disintegrate will do 480-520 damage, so having enough to remain alive if it hits you is generally good, but its nbot that common, 1s aren't that common, and as long a you're at 550ish you're fine.

Thanks Jaer... one other question that just occured to me. What is the Intim and AC benchmarks for ToD on norm?

Its been a while since I've been in there, but I think you'll want to hit a 55 intimidate to get him on a 1.

As for AC I think you'll want at least a 70, and preferably higher, but I don't have hard numbers on that.

ac is useless in tod as 99% of his dmg near the end comes from his dots which you cannot stop with ac, 600+ hp and enough dps to hold his aggro and you can tank horoth no matter your class/race/ac/intim.

Ultimately I'll be hitting around 65 Intim and mid 70's to low 80's AC.
