Tastes great, or less filling?
Here's a taste test to help you decide...
If you leave a Shroud group after posting in party chat "(Party): [Party] PlayerX: on timer sorry"
You might want to switch to a different character before posting a Shroud LFM :D

Im guessing they cant handle the heavy drama, that or they are too scared to say what they really think and would rather lie then say "sorry guys just dont think this group is for me."
id rather a person be honest and say "you guys suck im gonna form my own group" then lie it just shows their character though in game and out :)

I remember ditching a shroud just after it filled once so I could run with some friends and guildies. I can't remember her name exactly, but it was Mama something that formed the one I ditched. Anyways, I get this tell asking why I bailed on the run and I said that I decided I wanted to run with some friends instead. They mention that it would have been nice to put something into party chat and I agree with them.
Basically what I said was, "Yep, it would have been very nice of me to do that. I didn't, however, cause I am an ass. Have a nice shroud."
Being honest in that situation did not win me a friend, I am sure, but it certainly did get the shroud that I was running with laughing hysterically. :)

Hehe true but id still rather deal with an ass then a liar :) trust me ive been called one plenty of times but id rather been an honest arse then a phony who lies about being on timer. I mean come on whats were they afraid of "oh no i'll never get a group again.. I hurt peoples feelings" just wow.

telling a white lie to avoid grouping with or upsetting someone you prefer not to group with -> NO DRAMA
posting about it on the forums -> DRAMA

The Shroud? Can someone please share quest with me?
It can get exciting when a noob caster joins your shroud and has been leveling a non caster for so long he spazzes out and rediscovers fire wall spell.....spamming it all over the place with acid fogs at a four critter beat down in part two.......
Duh, how we going to seperate them now.......fireeeeee walllllllll..........oh how I have missed you......
Enough bozo excitment there for sure!!!!!

I'm fairly certain I was in that run... didn't we kill you to separate them?
Hehehe, blasphemy...I'm unkillable.....I stopped self healing though and fell on my sword to make up for my mental meltdown. Yes you were there....
LOL, I was on my 28 str improved two weapon fighting 19 sorc. And I'm vorping in part one on some trogs at start up and auto trip/smite....which, duh... On my caster is energy drain/fire wall and follow that up in part two with craziness.....
I was so embarassed I was swetting in part four still......apologized then and knew I would find a thread to post somewhere this abomination of a shroud participation.
I feel cleansed now......LOL.

I'm not sure how to feel about being part of your cleansing... I'm leaning toward dirty.

My sentiments exactly. I kind of take pride in being known as an ass. That means that the people that actually get to know me know that I am much more than just a jerk.
And, in terms of honesty in ditching a raid, I would rather they lie to me before we start then cut and run during the raid. Had both, and the first is much more tolerable.

While I hate dropping groups I will in a heart beat if I feel its not going to work out. Not in the middle unless its a wipe. But if I join a raid and then a person I know I cant get along with even a second joins then im not going to stick around. Can I squelch them? Sure but having a raid run where I cant hear someone isnt a good idea. Plus I still got to get all them askgulo guys out of my squelch list lol.
So yes id rather be honest and viewed as an ass and say hey not going to be able to run this with you guys then lie and say im on timer.
And sigh my venting thread got closed darn arguers I was going to vent about the tons of tells I get asking me to raid on saturday/sunday when im always on timer after friday nights lol. Its not that I want to avoid people, its that friday is drinking raid night and I definitely get my clerics out of the way "they heal better drunk"

I should really make more time to run with you, Kalari, cause we agree on way to much. I have a short /squelch list, I believe it is only three active players (and that number may be even lower at this point). However if one of those people joined into a group that I was in (and not in the leadership role) then I would drop out in a heart beat. It is just not worth the pain and punishment to hang around people you don't like. We don't do that in life, why do it in game?

Exactly I mean I really dont want to disappoint a group and if im a healer and in a good mood I may even grin and bare it. But if I have someone squelched its for a reason if there is someone in game I cannot stand to be around why should I subject myself to hearing them during a raid? I dont want to raid with people I have to put on ignore plain and simple because being heard can be the difference between a smooth run and a wipe but if a certain person spends the whole raid over mic saying annoying things its not fun. Thats one of my main reasons I dont pug much but I will start playing more again outside guild there are tons of solid players I miss running with. Right now my play time is limited (hence why im living in the forums) but once I get a solid schedule down i'll be on more and would love to run with ya sometime :)
Im gonna warn you though I hate to fail if its something that cant be helped fine but I really really hate to fail quests and raids lol.
