Really?

Coal at least can be sold for some pittance, but what do I do with twigs? They don't even seen to stack!

For that matter, is there a general method to throw things away? Also, I see people suggesting to "lock" valued possessions so you do not accidentally sell them -- I had not yet figured out how to do that either.

So, how do I delete (or lock) an item in my inventory?

Simply drag it outside the inventory window and release. It will pop up the 'Are you sure you want to destroy this item?" dialog box, just click "yes" and it's gone.

Twigs are totally useless, and are there as the token "rotten egg" in an Easter Egg hunt.

Cheer up, sometimes the dice are against you. This morning I turned in all of my coins and got:

4 useful cookies
1 useful jelly cake
80 lumps of coal
6 useless twigs

Then slipped an fell off the roof, hitting the railing on the way into the water...it's a good thing I'm WF or I probably would have drowned, it was a *bad* morning.

Thank you, that was simple! I wonder why manual never mentions it?

To lock an item, do you click on the "opened lock" symbol in the upper left corner of the item description?

I haven't tried it myself, but I believe that is in fact how you lock an item. I know you can lock the hotbars in a similar fashion, so you can't 'accidentally' drag a button off them.

I've tried using the button in the description window but doesn't work for me. How you can also lock your items is to go into the inventory window, and you should see a little open padlock button between the main pack space, and your weapon sets bar. You select the item you want to lock, and then push that button and the item should have a closed padlock appear in the lower left corner of its icon to indicate it has been locked.

in three weeks or so it comes back to you. Just delete them.

I used to mail them to spammers but they returned so the joke was on me and I still get spammed.

U can delete by dragging out of inventory or using the description window.

if I can figure that out, this game is not that complicated.

There's a manual? Hmmm ... who wrote it?

in your inventory window, between the items and the weapon sets, there's a tiny icon with the shape of a lock which is used to well, lock the items.

Then you could craft a crummy wand and a limited charged summons item!

...yay?

Risia offers some great stuff. Twigs/charcoal crafting is not among it.

The first HTYMHM was on the inventory item lock - http://my.ddo.com/halo_572/2010/01/13/handy-tips-you-might-have-missed-no-1-inventory-lock/ - and whilst it seems a little thing it actually is very useful.

It certainly speeds up selling.
