Durk's Secret dungeon has what looks like a sealed wall with no levers or runes, but the map shows there is something behind it. It also has two doors with runes. One I was able to open, another said "You are not intelligent enough to use this rune."
How do I open the "blank wall"? (Do a Search for secret doors?) If I bring a wizard henchman -- hopefully with higher INT than mine, -- will he use the more difficult rune?

Not sure what wall you're referring to, but yes, either use the Detect Secret Doors spell somehow (via clicky, scroll, wand, or cast it) or Search that area, though that requires a sufficiently high enough Search skill.
Yes, your henchmen can activate ability runes for you, assuming their ability is high enough. They always have been when I've tried. You can also try to boost your ability (or your henchmen's) up higher temporarily to try and activate it, like by somehow activating the Fox's Cunning spell on you (again, via clicky, scroll, wand, or casted).

If i remember correctly that one sealed door is a strength one, need a certain strength to open it.
Different runes can opened with different scores, sometimes just popping a potion or item that boosts your stats will allow it.
With hirelings, i've never had a problem using them to open doors or activate runes. Remember though it seems fighter hirelings have a higher str than barbarians. Clerics can open wisdom runes, and wizard ones can open int runes.
Edit: Unless you are talking about the one door that is not so much a secret door, but you need to hit one lever hidden behind some boxes and that opens up another "hidden" lever that opens up that area.

Are you talking about Durk's, or Butcher's Path?
Durk's doesn't have any rune doors in it as far as I remember.
Butcher's Path however has a strength switch, that opens a door with a rune stone, that opens a door to the kobalds treasure.

I am with Cedwin.
I have been wracking my brains also on this.
There are some valves that require strength. You need a strength to do the mushroom and the trapped chest, if the witch doctor is there.
The INT runes are in Butchers path.
There is the LOCKED door to the lizard shaman and a mushroom. But that just requires a rogue.

I definitely did not play Butcher's Path yesterday.
I played Waterworks in a group, and Durk's Secret solo. I am quite sure two runes (one of which I opened) were in Durk's Secret. But I will try again tonight to make sure.

If you are doing the optionals there is an INT rune.
There is a secret door in Durk's with a lizard and mushroom and a kobold shaman, and one chest.

Well, I was wrong. It is Waterworks which has INT runes. I brought a wizard hireling, he opened the rune door, and we promptly ran into a troll. Oops.
Apparently you can't eat a cookie while a troll bashes you with a club.

In durks you need to open 2 undetectable doors to reach the 2nd of the 3 trogs, just after the oozes section of the dungeon. Do you mean these?

Yeah, if those are the doors you mean, the lever is behind some breakables in an alcove along the left wall.

I had found that lever and moved it, and it did not seem to do anything. Do you need to do a successful Search AFTER moving the lever?

It opens another alcove at the intersection containing the lever to open the door to the Trog

What about the valve next to the shrine and in front of some bars? It does not seem to do anything either.

It opens the door on the other side of the map, so you have a complete circle around the center part.

I think there are some doors that cannot be opened even though it looks like there are things behind them. I believe that "Garrison's Missing Pack" has a door like that in the final room, looks like it's been boarded off. I've tried bashing it, having a hireling bash it, looked for a trigger, tried knock, picking, etc..just seems to have been an area deleted from the map? Dunno, anyone else know how to open it?
