dndclient.exe not responding at launch

DDO was working on my system but now wont launch.
I get to where it asks for username and password, I pick server, and connect.
THe screen then goes blank.

I can only tab to the task manager, where it says the dndclient is not responding.

I have deleted and reinstalled, turned off firewall, and changed admin and compatibility settings, all with no affect.
Anyone have any suggestions?

System is
Windows Vista 64 sp2, nvidea 9800 video card with 8 gb ram.

I have the same exact error. Same post everything besides I have a Geforce8800gT

I'm having the same issue.
Windows 7 32bit
4gig ram.
ATI Radeon HD 4800

I have downloaded the game from all 3 sources (TDM, standard direct, and the high direct), it has done the same thing all 3 times. It launches the window, but then instantly goes not responding at a black screen.

Hi guys,

I had the same issue ... after downloading the full 4.89gb game. (didn't have the problem when I played it on tier download last night)

I then did the "validate and repair" found in the turbine download manager (click on the arrow above the play button) and it fixed the problem

(after doing a slow validate on the 4 plus gb u have already downloaded, it might also start downloading bits of data on n off, probably to replace errors.)
