Hey all - I was wondering if you could assist me with this current build.

Fact about the char:
1 - bought +1 tome at lvl 4
2 - fighter lvls are 1 and 8, rest are pala
3 - bought a +2 tome at lvl 11

I'm not exactly sure on how to insert stuff from the char generator, but my char is currently lvl 10, but this is what my end build is supposed to be like <--- EDIT found out :)

I'm going mainly on intimitanking (as lvl 10, i've currently got 24 intimidate and AC 41 (using a heavy shield, not tower and only have 13 dex) unbuffed). When I solo or just have fun with my RL friends, I often use THW (but not skilled or anything in it) but TWF is just as optional for me... I just wanna do more damage :). But again, my main focus is intimitanking.

As this is my first char, i'm not quite aware of what is needed at higherlvls in order to intimidate bosses and such.

Don't think you need bullheaded or force of personality. Dodge is marginal as it only give +1 to AC.

Otherwise looks pretty solid.

You could get by with a lower intelligence and put it into con as you're going to use a +2 tome.

Dont agree with Thel at all.

When your AC is in the region where it is becoming effective, (ie mobs need more than 2 to hit) then +1 from dodge feat is totally worth it on an intimitank.

And FoP is also a good option, there is no such thing as too high saves.

I think you have an excellent build for what you want it to do.

The only thing I would change was to swap out the ooman recover III enhancement for pally devotion IV. The first is too expensive, the second is a must have for selfhealing.

I agree with your point regarding dodge. My straight paladin has it and when you get to the right level, every bit helps. My bad.

Regarding force of personality, since their charisma modifier is added in, I just don't think that paladins need to worry much about saves but that's just me. Personally I would rather have the extra 22hp out of toughness than have my will save be 38 instead of 30.

I just love having silly high saves :D

My own tank (fighter 18/pally2 have 24 cha and FoP :o I dont regret that choice one second.

Thx guys... it might not be exactly like that. I've followed a build here online more or less :).

Another question, how high Intimidate is needed @ lvl 20 to be able to be a good intimitank?

You need to be able to reach into the 70's with all possible buffs to do all the high level raids on elite.

The above is misleading because intimidate is rarely used to do elite raids; while it is nice if you can get it there, a mid-50s to 60 intimidate will be more than adequate.

Hmm, on both occasions - that sounds a bit hard :S. I've got 24 now as lvl 10 (29 buffed)... but then again, don't have the best items for it...

The next 10 lvls will bring me to 32. Maybe 40+ with items and stats (unbuffed)... how would I ever hit 70+ ? Greater heroism doesn't give that much - does it?

24 points from levels
8 charisma
4 GH
15 item

51 standard buffed is certainly attainable for your build and will be useful in most situations

+6 from a cha skill item crafted in the Shroud.

+ Some feats, + some enhancements.

My own intimitank has 67 unbuffed at lvl 20. That is with skill focus intimi and one Deneith dragonmark + max enhancements.
