The last I saw on this was 4 pages back, and none of the fixes seemed to universally work for the people who posted. It is as follows: "Can't open the data files. Check that they exist and that you have permission to write to them. The program will now exit.[201]"
We installed last week, and had been playing no problem. Then, I started getting this error after having walked away from the computer for 1/2 hour. NO OTHER VARIABLES.
Judging from the past posts and my experience, it seems pretty apparent that the TDM updates themselves are screwing with something - I'm not techno savvy enough to know what.
I don't know if you guys have found a fix or set of fixes for this or not; if you have, it sounds like it's worth a sticky. The most promising ones I saw were the ones that talked about reinstalling a "mod 8" (whatever that is) or uninstalling TDM. I don't know how to do that, either.
