View Full Version : Spells per day listing confusing

More a comment about the Spell listings. Is there any legitimate reason that casters like FvS have dual spell listings in the DDO compendium? We do not get to cast 4 4th level spells per day under a spell point system. It is potentially very confusing to someone coming from a PnP background to just copy and paste those Spells Known(or memorized)/Spell Slots per day listing for DDO.

It should be simplified to just indicate the number of spell slots that can be memorized (actively for a cleric or semi permanent for a FvS).

Yes, this is something Tolero and I have been bothered by for awhile. Well, we've finally done something about it and changed that section to be 'Spell Points Per Rest'. There will also be a surprise along with that data that I hope you find nifty and useful.

Looking to get this pushed out to live in near future update... Stay tuned...

I hope you are including bards and sorcs in that fix as well. Their spell tables have only been messed up since the compendium was launched, which was how many years ago now?

When I first was looking over divine casters, I was completely perplexed by this, haha. Just a little bump in hopes we hear about a change to it soon, and find out what the little tidbit is, too =)

maybe i take too many rips, but i actually found that spells/day chart very useful in levelling my wiz so i could quickly check what level i would get how many of each level spell. Also when developing a rang/figh/rog i found that i missed that chart, i wanted to see how many and when rangers got spells, i think that u should bring the chart back and just change the name to spells/level or something cause even though i looked at that chart at least once every 2 days i never seemed to memorize it, also again maybe i take too many rips, but when i calculated my clerics sp/rest using the new calculator i got 1,700 and something, although i seem to have my sp full after rests and i have 2200 or something close, maybe I'm just missing a variable or something, i know there's an easy spell progression to every class but like i said maybe i take too many rips for my own good even
