This is an apology to some players that I grouped with recently to do WWs.
We started out by someone opening on norm when most wanted elite. So recall drop and reform. get that done and in the one room ended up with a named spider and most of us got blasted. as I ran to the shrine and rezed , phone call comes in. look and see that I need to take it, let them know and then find they had lead the mobs to the shrine and bam dead again! longand short recalled out and everyone leaves group.. Before I could apologize This guy squelches me ( or at least it seems that he did).
The phone call was important and had to take, sorry that it screwed things up. But don't believe it to be that terrible when the rest of them weere just zerging and not communicating about what was going on.Hell , I (ranger) had to heal the paladin because the designated healer zerged ahead. Hopefully this person reads this and realizes it is he I am talking about. Like I said my bad, sorry.

Real life happens. If this is the worst thing you do in game, you will have had a blessed experience indeed.
you did nothing to apologize for.

DDO = Game
Life > Game
There for Life > DDO
I love algebra.

To all that responded thank you.
I just felt that not being able to speak with said person left me feeling low. Love the game and wish I could meet and group with more people. Most of those that I have grouped with have been great with some exceptions. Hard to get a steady gruop when your log on is not always a set time or time limited.
And again thank you:D

Don't sweat it, there are enough people to group with that you should be happy some jerk squelched you :)

It is very gracious of you to apologize even if (as others have said) you did nothing requiring an apology.
Sometimes the right thing to do is to say you're sorry, even if you are (or think you are) right.
Being married has taught me this much, at least. :D
Sometimes life happens. Sounds like you're a stand-up guy. Keep up the good work.

Nothing to apologize for. The good players in that group will understand that despite our best effort RL continues to poke its irritating head into our gaming. I am sure they appreciated the apology but it wasn't needed. The not so good players would not, and the apology would be wasted on them. So, continue onward and play thy game (as soon as the **** thing comes back up) with head held high.

Apparently no one in the above thread is in United? Cause I was declined a VoD run less than 24 hours ago since I had to leave a previous VoD group of theirs (over a month ago) that was taking over an hour to form, to join one that I got a direct invite too, that was ready to roll. Had already explained I had RL time issues, and wouldnt have had been able to go with them anyway, as I literally RAN out the door upon completion and they were STILL trying to fill about 3-4 slots.
I guess some folks feel DDO > RL.
Edit: was informed I would no longer be allowed in their raids, even though I again explained the situation...
Oh darn, more people that dont like me. How will I go on?
oh, to OP, yeah, RL > DDO it happens to us all.

Tin Dragon, Well, I thought you left months ago? If my information is correct, welcome back. If not, forget I said anything. Anyway, OP, you did nothing out of the ordinary. Hell, why apoligize, if people can not understand that IRL circumstances take precidence over ddo just laugh at them and pity them for their values. FYI, I currently have nearly 50 people in my squelch list. Being squelched happens all the time.

lol, who gets upset over someone excusing himself from a group before it even starts, much less holds an extended grudge over it? Well, ok, I guess you just answered that question.
