I would love to see DDO revamp their friend list options, and allow players to add friend by character AND by account.
Currently, players have to manually add each and every character a friend has to see whether they are online. If that friend creates a new character or is playing on a different server, then you are left completely in the dark! Given that DDO players often have many alts, often across several servers, I believe Global Friendlists would be of great benefit to most players.
Another popular MMO (I'll refrain from using its name, just for safety sake) manages to make amazing use of Global Friends options. Players can even chat across different servers, in order to coordinate better ("Hey Bob, haven't seen ya all week. Wanna switch over to your level 10 on Kyber and run Tempest Spine with us, since we know how its your favorite quest?").
This Quality of Life addition would make great strides towards a more cohesive community, and a good step towards tweaking DDOs basic mechanics to be more competative and current.
