Not gonna make a whole long mess of this...

Time has come for me to leave DDO (again). I don't really feel like getting into all my specific critiques; suffice it to say that I have not been enthused with the way the game has gone over the last few months. Coupled with the fact that I tend a bit towards MMO nomadism anyway (I rarely last in one place for more than a year), I think the winds are ripe for me to sail away. I mostly left Sarlona when Cannith came out anyway, trying to find some way to rekindle the old spark. I failed to do so.

Probably gonna take a break from MMO's for a little bit to play through Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 a few times before perhaps dipping my feet into the Star Trek waters in the spring. Maybe I'll come back at some point, but most likely not.

Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in DDO, and had great fun with many of you. Thanks to all of Sarlona for a lot of good times, and to the following people in particular:

Spyderwolf, for being a generally great guy and leader on innumerable occasions.
Moops, for being the best raid leader...able to get things done while keeping it fun (no buffing, blast you!)
Agamon, for being the wacky Quebecois that he is
Sissy, for having (hands down) the coolest speaking voice in DDO (or perhaps on earth, for that matter)
Quik, for invaluable assistance re: item/loot valuation
Leafy, who understands the metagame as well as anyone, for build advice
All my other guildmates in Caffeine

I'm sure I've missed plenty...but thx to you all and kudos on forming a great community.

And yah, sure -- y'all could have my stuff if you really wanted...but I don't really have anything great anyway. Besides, given how the game is going, I'm sure that anything good I still have is either already available in the DDO store, or soon will be. :)

My sig only lists my main...you will no longer see:

(Sarlona)
Queazy
Feeble
Jittery
Squeamish

(Cannith)
Feeble
Aloof
Sleazy

...running through Stormreach.

Happy raiding, all! Thanks again -- it's been fun!

On a partially-related note, Dragon Age is^H^H was addictive to play - I spent my last weekend playing it. Bioware are masters of pulling people away from MMOs that don't have really good storytelling. :D

Oh wait, did I say something wrong?

Seriously though, Dragon Age is a good single player RPG with a strong story, similar to The Witcher in terms of storytelling.

Sorry to see you go :(

At least now I know why you haven't been around much as of late. Hope to see you around in a few months when the single player lust dies a bit :)
