View Full Version : Tears -need more strength help!

Trying to run Tears quest. I am a Cleric5/Pal1 drow. I have a base str of 14. I am unable to open lever for second Tear with +2 gauntlets and bulls strength. This gives me 18 str.

I checked my spell points and nothing to increase str.
Yes I can invite someone with the strength which is definitely an option but I raise the questions:

1. What strength do I need to pull this lever?
2. Outside of buying a tome for 3 million, do I have another option?

the gauntlets and the bulls str don't stack.

Rage pot will get you to 20

If you can find a scroll of divine power, you have a good chance of using it, that gives +6 str (also non stacking). I don't think you can purchase them? not sure..
But maybe find one on the auction house if not.

So 20 with, 22 with rage pot. I think 20 is enough, tho im not sure. I've always had like 30+ on my barbs using that lever.

Also can get another +2 with a potion of bulls might - from the ddo store. For 24.

But yea if you must get every tear for the nice xp they get now.. Toss up and lfm for the appropriate classes.. The hardest one is actaully the int rune, I think that needs quite a high int, 23ish?

Str lever requires 22 Str or higher, when i was doing this quest on elite at lvl 10 on my barb....thats when i realized that i had ti work on my str, maybe a +4 or +5 Str item and an enhancement or 2.

On your BARB?
Work on your strength?? I think it's time you realise you need to reroll if your strength is that bad..

18 base +4 rage.. 22 str. Correctly build Barbs can do it at level1 naked with no enhancements.

It's my first barbarian char, so not really going around gloating how awesome he is, so far he works for a 28Pt build and once i unlock 32Pt i will probably look into making a new and improved version, ya know...so i can learn from some mistakes i've made here and than? :)
