Here's a character I'm currently working on thats designed to be able to intimatank most stuff as a casual player-- meaning I don't intend to take this character raiding.
I want to know if it's viable, and if there is anything I did really wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.

Race: Halfling
Class: Fighter 20
Starting stats: (28 pt)
Str: 14
Dex: 16
Con: 14
Int: 14
Wis: 8
Cha: 8

Feats (In order): Toughness, Combat Expertise, Shield Mastery, Least Dragonmark of Healing, Stunning blow, Lesser Dragonmark of Healing, Weapon Focus (Piercing), Improved Critical (piercing), Greater Dragonmark of Healing, Weapon Specialization (Piercing), Greater Weapon Focus (Piercing), Greater Weapon Specialization (Piercing), Improved Shield Mastery, Skill Focus: Intimidate, Power Attack, Bull-Headed, Improved Sunder (or cleave), Superior Weapon Focus (Piercing) (or Great Cleave).

Now would it be better to take improved sunder and sup. weap. focus or cleave and great cleave? I already find my bars rather cluttered for usable hotkeys, so I'm leaning towards Sunder, but I'd like some advice on this.

So far his gear goals looks kind of like this:
+5 full plate
+5 tower shield
+5 stunning heavy pick
+5 [insert effect] rapier (for high fortitude saved creatures)
+6 str/dex/con items. Maybe a wisdom one as well for will saves.

I don't really have all of my enhancements planned out, but I plan on taking the strength and dex boosts, along with the armor/tower shield mastery. Possibly some halfling will save too if I can. I already am increasing the stunning blow line, and all of the toughness.
I plan on taking stalwart defender to max as well.

How's this look as a plan?
Currently he's level 4 and has a 37 armor class with:
10 base+2 dex+11 armor+7 shield+1 deflection+1 size+5 combat expertise

Is this reasonable and possible?

Thanks in Advance,

-Broin Redsparrow

*Edit*
I forgot to mention the skills I took:
Intimidate (maxed)
Balance (maxed)
Jump (maxed)
Then I took listen because halflings get a racial bonus to this and it helps bit in detecting mobs.

Shameless bump... Any kind of feedback would be welcome.
I'm also very interested in using the heavy pick but realize this somewhats limits my dps against skeletons/zombies... could it be possible to spec piercing and still keep a longsword and a heavy mace/morning star against these circumstances? Or would I be gimping myself way too much on losing out on my feats?

The reason (I think) that you haven't got any feedback is because your build is, for the most part, exceptionally solid.

You want some tumble ranks (at least enough to have a positive modifier after armor/shield) so you can move around in defensive stance. I might consider Quick Draw over Stunning Blow due to your low-ish Strength, but if it's sticking pretty often then don't bother.

I might consider taking Weapon Finesse and using Rapiers, but I'm not sure what you're putting points into as you level. If you are taking dex at level up take Finesse.

Cleave is worth considering to grab aggro on enemies that can't be intimidated - don't get Sunder.

If you were raiding an excellent high level solution to your undead dilemma would be Molb's Fist - 2-h quarterstaff that acts as slashing, blunt, and piercing - I would try to find a Holy weapon of greater undead bane and use that otherwise, but a decent slashing or blunt weapon would be okay too. Crit enhancements don't help vs. undead and an extra few points of damage per hit means squat if you can't bypass /DR, so you won't be gimping yourself too much.

Thank you for the feedback, it's a relief to hear that the build is workable, because I just commited myself (sort of) by taking weapon focus (piercing) today. I'll keep this in mind and look for the staff to help compensate for that... seems like it would take a big hit on ac for me to lose the tower shield, but I'll look for a greater undead bane weapon or something as I get higher.

About quick draw though, what good does it do for me if I don't use throwing weapons? Also, I'm levelling up strength, not dexterity, I plan on just enhancing it with the 2 from halfling and a +6 item, which will put it at (I think) a more then satisfactory 24. I put the dex in early since it was cheap, and as a tank I was willing to give up a little damage for a bit more ac.

The last thing is about tumble-- I should stop taking listen and focus on getting my tumble positive? That seems rather... difficult with full plate and a tower shield, but I'll definately consider it-- how important is it? I can still hop around, just not roll.

Thanks again!

Choosing a halfling will bring down your intimidate rolls. You're going to have to be somewhere in the high 60's or low 70's on intmi skill for reliable end game aggro control because of the size factor.

That's the only caveat I would take into consideration.
