View Full Version : I feel.... dumb

Ok, so i'm brand new to this game.. just installed it actually, and i have searched everywhere and can't find how to launch the game after installing it :(. It's not in my folder i downloaded it to, nor can i find info on how to launch the game anywhere with a googe search.

Am i just dumb... orrr is there a trick to playing DDo after installing it?

Should just be an icon on your desktop if the installation was successful. It should also create a folder inside of your start menu, under Turbine. Unless you using a MAC, which in that case I can't help you as I have never tried the MAC version of the game.

Yeah, that's all i needed... thank you very much! I didn't realize it saved to turbine folder instead of saving to DDo folder.

Actually, for Vista and Win7 users, there is no desktop icon, you have to go into
the Start menu to launch the game. It mentions this on page 2 of the Game Manual,
but no one ever looks in there. :D

last time I looked the manual went to level 10 and was 3 years old, they updated it?

Yeah, they probably updated it for the changeover to F2P format.
I found it very useful as a noob, as much of the difference from PnP DnD was not intuitive.

Wait, there's a game manual? How did I miss that, I love reading manuals. Sick, I know, but I have been reading everything I possibly can about ddo on the forums and googling those things I couldn't find.

You have to diplo it first for best results.
