Premise: An enhancement tree for casters that empowers spells pertaining to their character's spell focus'.

Benefits: Allows for more in-depth, earnest specialization, and new, interesting choices for AP distribution that features real trade-offs, and supplements caster usefulness in Epic content, particularly for Save or Dies/Save or Sucks.

The Mastery Enhancement tree for any spell school is opened by obtaining the Spell Focus' for that school. It is as follows:

Overwhelming Focus Branch: Increases the DC and Spell Penetration of all spells from the chosen school by 1 per level.

4 AP: Overwhelming Focus I
Prerequisites: Spell Focus, AP 4

6 AP: Overwhelming Focus II
Prerequisites: Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, AP 16

8 AP: Overwhelming Focus III
Prerequisites: Greater Spell Focus, Greater Spell Penetration, AP 30

Enhanced Focus Branch: Each level increases the damage, duration and variable effects (such as Ray of Enfeeblement's Strength reduction) of spells from the chosen school by 10%

1 AP: Enhanced Focus I
Prerequisites: Spell Focus, AP 0

2 AP: Enhanced Focus II
Prerequisites: Spell Focus, AP 10

3 AP: Enhanced Focus III
Prerequisites: Greater Spell Focus, AP 21

4 AP: Enhanced Focus IV

4 AP: Exalted Focus II
Prerequisites: Spell Focus, AP 10

6 AP: Exalted Focus III

8 AP: Exalted Focus IV
Prerequisites: Greater Spell Focus, AP 33

10 AP: Exalted Focus V
Prerequisites: Greater Spell Focus, AP 46

Quickcast Focus Branch: Decreases the casting time of spells from the chosen school by 10% per level, and decreases the DC of Concentration checks for those spells by 2 per level.

1. why only arcane (as the name states)?
/not signed

2. its already possible to get a very useful DC
/not signed

3. raising what we can get as DC just makes mobs harder for those who dont take it as turbine will balance saves around those higher benchmarks (just look at AC)

It's a transitory working name set. It should apply to Divine magic as well.

2. its already possible to get a very useful DC

Not at all. In Elite/Epic late game content? Are you serious? Casters all but turn into buffers by that point, or throw around nukes in a very SP inefficient manner.

3. raising what we can get as DC just makes mobs harder for those who dont take it as turbine will balance saves around those higher benchmarks (just look at AC)

Why should it? The maximum increase in DC afforded is 3. That isn't gamebreaking, and certainly does not demand retuning. It is simply something that people can and should be awarded for investing so many feats and AP into.
