I logged in as soon as I was aware that Orien was up and grabbed all the names I've used in D&D over the last 28 or so years. Mostly they duplicate the names I scored on Cannith. I did manage to get one that I've been unable to get.

I do not know if this name is well known on any other server. It is the name of a half-orc NPC from a campaign I ran in Germany back in the mid-80's. That character was Geldor McArt. I know Geldor is taken on every other server. So, in fairness the server needs to know that it will be a different player on Orien.

Otherwise I got all of the names I've used over the years playing PnP plus the new names I've been using in DDO:

I got the names I wanted. Ever since, I started playing DDO in July, I have been wanting to recreate my old EQ2 characters in DDO. Unfortunately, some one else had prior claim on the other servers. I also missed out getting it on Cannith, since I am a f2p player and had to wait a day. But with this server, I was able to get those names to recreate the characters.

I am a happy camper.

I was also able to carry over my other character names from Cannith, which I was pretty much expecting.

I was a bit surprised that this server didn't open a day early for VIPs so they could reserve names before us cheapskate lowlifes, but I'm not complaining.

I was late to the move, I was still playing characters I haven't finished on Thelanis and I so do love my girls, but I still got my 2 names here. I think I'll buy a WF for that 3rd that I have been kicking around(I'll probably roll a placeholder).

Divinerose Anarchy is my nuker cleric. She may be sweet but she will prick you hard and make you bleed with those thorny spells.

Nannywarbuck Anarchy is my spell buffer haggle bard. I put that little orphan girl out of her misery so I can get Daddy Warbucks money. :D

Robotchicken Anarchy will be my WF melee, I'm not sure which but I like the melee posibilities more. I'll kick it around some more in the planner. I just like the name for the WF. I'll have to find a bunch of FF clikies just to get the poof of feathers.

I hadn't really planned on moving much but I thought about it more. I am hoping that the economy(AH) will be more reasonable here. Since the server is new then it will probably be a bit before it gets too crazy.

Is the AH insane on Cannith?

I do miss being able to send a few things to my self, mostly the pirate bandanna with the +10 haggle for my Nanny. I don't see it in the store any more.

That's very unfortunate :(:(:( The DDOcast people are pretty good folks . Love tuning in on weekends to your podcast shows . Please keep up the good efforts and hard work everyone involved puts in .

Every time I log I check Orien and it is totally destitute of players. It's launch is much softer than Cannoths was to the point I'm affraid for any new player starting there.

I'm sure it is being tracked, but server merging it now would help those players......not likely as a huge bubble burster for the new inititive..... I log in twice a night to it and it is so so soft ATM.
