Hello All -
I'm a L8 Cleric, about 3 dots away from L9....I'm LFG to help run some quests anywhere from 3pm to 9pm EST.
I know I can put up the LFG/LFM in the social tab...but my biggest challenge with that is most people are doing the same quests over & over & over...I'm burnt out on them and would like to try new things if possible. I dont mind doing quests Normal/Hard/Elite but the same ones day in & day out get boring for me at this level.
I just did my first Church & Cult yesterday...end boss pretty hard but quest completed! :) I still need to do The Pit, Deleras Tomb stuff, Catacombs and whatever else I've never heard about.
So please, if you have a toon that is interested in helping me quest up...please post or PM yur name and I'll add you to friends list.
Many Thanks!

/I failed my save check, not sure if you're being sarcastic or not.
I've attempted to join other groups with players L9-12...and most times they tell me "You're too low" :(
I've started my own groups and most times the hits I get are other newer players who are not aware of most other quests...so as opposed to being bored and logging off 5 minutes after I login, I just start a party and help others.
Again...I'm not aware of other quests, which is why I'm posting on the forums. Hopefully someone can provide me with some information or some help so I can get out of the same quests day in & out.

Agreed ... Putting up LFG's looking for Healer Clerics are often delayed while waiting for healers.. but when a Cleric starts the LFG.. Like my Faithrune, They fill up uber fast.. In the comments I put; "Healbot Cleric ~ Would LOVE to heal people for XXX Quest (Hard-Elite) - Who's in?" Sometimes I can't click the Invite to party button fast enough to catch all the requests.

Yep, tried that as well...and most of the time since we don't know of any additional quests I just help the group lol! I figure some XP is better than no XP! :D
I'll keep trying...hopefully I get lucky and group with some vet's alts that being leveled!

Maybe you should find a guild to join. Just my 2 cents.

Yes sounds good...guilds are a great way to learn the game and get to know people.
Thanks for the advice.

not sure I understand. You don't KNOW the quests, or you don't KNOW OF the quests? If it's really that you don't know OF the quests, then your adventure compendium lists every quest that is available to you. If the problem is not being familiar with the quests, then check out the lost quest guide in teh player-written user guides forum. Has at least some hints as to what is needed for each quest, as well as how to get to them....

I've run with some good "guildies" but hard to know which Guild is of any repute (at least for me) it seems nearly every PUG I've run in over 60% of the peeps are in a guild, and TBH I rarely see the same guild name on any of the 4 people in the group.
Also, I am trying to really learn to be a better player before I join a guild as I prefer to be an asset more then a liability. I know some guilds are "fine with" recruiting newbs like me, but I'm a stickler on the point of asset vs liability.

You should be running the following quests at level 8:
Delera's hard and elite
Xorian cypher
Cult of the Six series
Threnal East 1 and 2
Vault of the Night series
Delera's is by far the most forgiving of the line and most straight-forward. If you get someone who knows the others, they are great too. Xorian cypher and Co6 are fun and good xp. Threnal East 1 and 2 are insane xp (at least they used to be, haven't run them recently). The rest of these are still good at level 9 as well.

Wonderful information, many thanks...this is what I was looking for.
- I'm in a guild now, we're R/L buddies who staretd this game together...so while we work together when we can it's still difficult to know what a "logical" quest progression is.
- Yes, I do not know OF the quests...if I knew what I could do then I would go about trying to complete the quests. I've done some searches on this forum...but I'm no troll to speak of my I have -2 check for forum search skills...the I/G tool for quests is not really intuitive -If you dont know of a quest or where it starts, how could I know what to do?
I've run the Xorian once...very nice quest, I like it. Delera's I've done the 1st part once then group broke up due to timing, but I would like to finish it. As for Cult, Threnal & Vault...where do I start those?

Couple of answers. Level 8 is "too low" because you cannot cast Raise Dead without scrolls yet, meaning that it would be expensive for a new player to even try and support a quest for level 9-12's. Also the HEAL spell at level 11 is a defacto standard on higher level quests, and although it can be scrolled as well, that gets expensive.
(6000 gold or more a pop for Raise Dead Scrolls adds up real quick on the loot pile.)
As for quests to run.
Sorrowdusk is perfect for those levels.
Tears of Dhakaan and Gwylans Stand in House P are good ones too.
Three Barrel Cove has a number of interesting little quests that should be very easy for a group of 5-8's to handle (the quests themselves are level 5-7 base on normal IIRC). Get a group doing them all somenight can be fun. The Explorer area is full of orcs and other pretty easy to defeat mobs, that can be fun to take on, without getting your lunch handed back to you, and it really can feel like exploring an island, more than most of the other areas which seem to be much more artifical in their boundries.

If your just looking to see new quests and not the same old quests that we all do to level The Anvil Fire in in House D where you get Stormcleave from has 2 nice Side quests that can be fun--you'll want a rogue for one of them tho--im blanking on the name atm.
House K quests are good too--a couple might be below your level but will be level 8 on elite, and people need more bank space so will join your House K quests for the Favor.
You can do the same with the small quests in House P as well since favor gets you 30 mins buffs.
Literally as a Cleric you can put up an LFM for any quest and people will join regardless of XP and even level--most hoping thye will get in a static group for the afternoon.

You didn't and he's not; he's just being a typical forum jacka$$.
The recommendations from Sam and Moops are great ones. Moving through levels 8-11 is kinda rough in Stormreach but if you run the quests that have been suggested, it will go faster. Delera's on N/H/E is almost enough XP to go from 8 to 9 by itself.
Also, hit the explorer areas in Sorrowdust and Ataraxia's Haven. Just running through and getting the explorers is good XP. Sorrowdusk is by far the easier of the two and also has a lot of monsters on the map so it's not that hard to get 750 kills, which is a nice little chunk of XP. Ataraxia's is significantly more difficult but if you have time to kill and a good set of weapons to fight the trolls, it's doable.

I calls it like I sees it, man. The guy was looking for some advice. Anybody who's gotten to lvl 8 knows there is a LFM panel so how do you think your snide comment was constructive in any way, shape or form? That's the definition of forum trolling. If you don't have something helpful to say, you can simply keep it to yourself and let others who are interested in providing some assistance reply to his thread.

As a 1st time MMO'r, and only been playing for a short period of time...the game as not that intuitive to someone of my play background...that's why I come to forum to try and learn more. And what's more, I didn't know there was a forum until someone I/G told me about it...and this forum search is NOT the best.
Anyway, this thread has helped alot...I guess the biggest thing I got out of it was that I need to be specific with my group-mates about what I need and hopefully that will happen. Since I've started this thread, I tried a few things I/G and they have worked. I ried the "LFG/LFM" tool and it has worked...I wrote in my group description what I needed and those joining group understood and it was pretty easy...now if only some of the quests were that easy lol!
I think a comprehensive TURBINE created quest listing & zone location would be awesome (with a small map of NPC starters, if I could wish for that)...the players ones are nice, but again: Without giving NPC or Zone location, it does noobs ike me no good.
I want to thank eveyone for their responses, I found all replies to be helpful in some way & form.

Especially around level 8 many groups want level 9 clerics because of the ability to raise dead.
One thing I noticed as well is that you said you had difficulty joining levels 9-12 groups on your level 8 cleric. One reason for that would be that you are under level and would receive an xp penalty if there is a level 12 person in the group.

Just hit P and bring up the list there, sort it by level and look for the level 7 - 9 stuff. Start doing those quests there and clicking on the list should tell you who bestows the quest and such. Then form a PUG for the quest and gun for it. There are a ton of quests out there but they get missed cause the vets just want to rocket through the XP to hit cap (we tend to be bored of leveling at this point).

although to be fair, there are also many of us who enjoy the leveling process more than the end as well.
