Exceptional XX Stat Question

I've been seeing loot listed in here as +6 xx Stat +1 Exceptional XX stat.. What does that mean?

This means that you get a +6 enhancement bonus to a stat and then another +1 Exceptional bonus to a stat that would stack with any enhancement bonus the stat may have.

Example: Ring with +6 Enhancment to Strength and a +1 Exceptional bonus to Strength would give a total bonus of +7 to your strength score.

Exceptional bonuses of unlike values stack with each other and other types of bonues.

In general, DDO allows different bonus 'types' to stack.

+1 and +2 exceptional stats come from shroud items, dragntouched armors or the new rings
they are stacking statboni

Ahhh that's kinda what I thought, when I saw that list of cool ToD rings.. that the exceptional might stack over a differ +6 Stat item of the same name in another invy slot. WOOT thanks!

The other thing you should know about the ToD rings is you can also craft on a +2 exceptional stat of your choice (or a variety of other options)

Excellent to know.. LOL at my toons levels even the "regular" +2 items are highly desireable.... and tomes.. I'd drool to see one in a place that's not the AH. HEHE, but I'll get there. I expect my first +1 tome loot drop hopefully this weekend.. Just not sure where.
