Question RE: Guest Passes

Hello, first time asking a question here. I am planning on perhaps buying an adventure pack, Shan-to-Kor, next week and I wanted to take my free-to-play friends along with me on this quest with guest passes. Now, first of all, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post such a question, and if it is not, feel free to move it. But second, and more importantly, here comes what may potentially be a stupid question I may already know the answer for.

In regards to guest passes, do I have to buy them, or does the person I wish to have accompany me have to buy them? I'm pretty dense, but I'm guessing that I have to buy them, correct? If that is the case, please tell me so.

one thing to watch out for: Guest passes are for 90 minutes. If this is your first time through Shan To Kor, or your friends' first time through so that you don't want to hurry, you will likely not complete it in 90 minutes.

And if they don't complete it in 90 minutes, do they get booted from the adventure, or do they get get to finish the part they are in, and then get booted?

They get to finish the part they are in, but if it's not the last quest in the series, they'll need another pass to start the next quest.

They get to finish the part they're in, but the moment they're out, they can't re enter.
