Not sure if this is just a bug or working as intended, however I have noticed recently as I have not been in thse for a while, that the collectibles in quests such as the House D Depths quests and the like in other houses have had thier collectibles lowered to harbor collectors whereas they use to drop items for the House collectors.
This is very dissapointing as when u are just starting out whether as a new player or fresh on a new server, these collectibles were very valuable. They allowed u some extra plat for the armors they would give that u could sell, nice ammo, and most inportantly cure serious potions, including spore saps which were cure serious wounds caster level 10 potions. Are these even available anymore?
It's kind of insulting now, doing quests that are quite a bit harder than Harbor quests and being rewarded with the same collectibles items as harbor quests.

The collectables are more radomized now than in the past. Some of them (low end)can be found almost anywhere.

Having run the depths series for collectibles farming fragrant drowshroods, luminescent dusts and lightning-split soarwoods enough times to do it blindfolded in the few months leading up to EU release, I can say I agree there is a change in the drops here.
I just ran my regular farming route through them a couple times and here's my results:
Sweet Whitecap x14
Deadly Feverblanch 2
Pale Creeper x1
Glittering Dust x5
Sparkling Dust x1
Amber Vial x4
Blade of the Dark Six x3
Signet of the Devourer x1
Skull Fragment x2
Powdered Blood x2
Withered Cryptmoss x1
'Wavecrasher' Cargo Manifest x2
It seems to me that the major change is that the mushroom nodes are no longer dropping the marketplace type mushrooms (spore pods/fungus) but the other nodes seem unchanged from what I'd seen today.

I noticed this when mod9 was on Lamannia, and inquired about it but got no reaction. It was particularly obvious in something like Orchard of Macabre. Those quests used to have the alchemical potion collectibles, which had been the marker of a higher-level quest. But now they have harbor/market junk.
I noticed that things like Dreams of Insanity still mostly have the old ones.

I suspect that from some perspectives it could be called a buff, as a few rare low-level collectibles were highly valuable to high-level players for weapon/armor +1 rituals. But the values of collectibles hadn't made sense for a while...

Well I didn't really mean valuable as in putting on the AH to sell, I meant valuable as in a player could collect them quick enought to get a decent amount of cure serious potions fairly quick, which when u are just starting on a new server or a new player is quite valueable I would think.

I bug reported this on beta and I don't think it's a very good change if it's intentional. I may be about the only one, but I usually pick up collectables. The harbor stuff is useful until level 4 or so but the later ones don't really keep up. Still, I was always happy to get Cure Serious wands and pots and the occasional mana pot. The rest of the stuff was good for some extra cash.
The changes i've seen in mod 9 don't seem to do much to help and often seems to be worse. We need an actual plan.
