I'm looking for quests that are fun to play in that level range.

I'd appreciate it if you would differentiate between free to play and not free to play content, as this is the free player general discussion. But plug the P2P stuff if its fun to play.

This isn't a powerlevelling thread. More of a thread for those moments that made you stop and say "ZOMG THAT WAS AWESOME!" or something along those lines, no spoilers please, just the quest/chain and then a description of how much fun you had in it.

Free - Tempest's Spine

Paid: Inferno of the Damned (requires a patient, thinking group but feels great to solve)

Tomb of the Tormented on Elite, hands down. . . .

Seriously though anything without undead would be a welcome change at this point. . . trust me. To get here you've done 1.5 necropoli, Delara's Tomb, the Catacombs, and too many house quests to name. Look for anything where you're fighting something other than skeletons, wights, ghouls, ghasts, spectres, and zombies.

not sure what is free to play or not....

stormcleave - great open air quest, level 8 on normal, 10 on elite. Always a great event for new players. Located in the anvilfire inn in house D. Girl at the bar with a triangle over her head. Should be free I believe.

Threnal Ruins - Real nice chain. 3 chains of 3 quests and a whole open area. Think this is pay to play. 8-11 or 12 on norm to elite. Entrance is inside a little alley north in house P...talk to a guy sitting there. Also viewed on the map as a yellow cross.

Gianthold - Pay to play. In my opinion the best module they ever made. 3 major quests and a raid along with 6 wonderful side quests. Well worth it. Lots of fun, loot, and good from 10 to 15 levels. Quests are 13th -16th on norm - elite. Really think you want this one.

I really enjoy the Vale quests. They're not free...but the Shroud is a must have anyway because of the crafting. IMO all the Vale quests are good...yes....even that one. :)

Inferno of the Damned: It may be a little confusing at first, but its an incredible quest concept

Litany of the Dead: One of the most varied and replayable and interesting quests on DDO

Rainbow in the Dark: Beautiful and unique

The Crucible: Confusing but brilliant

Running with the Devils: a brilliant storyline if you follow it

Tomb of the Tormented on Elite, hands down. . . .

Seriously...

Made me laugh out loud! To the OP ToT is one of the more annoying quests in the game. It's up there with (for me at least) the other one in that series, with tons of oozes, where you have to keep chugging lesser resto potions from the disease effects.

The Orchard (Necropolis IV - P2P) is great. The flagging quests are all good, and Litany (the capstone of the pre-raid) is really fun and challenging. Hopefully, someday the raid will be beatable by more than a handful of groups, but the journey is fun.

Free to play: Made to Order. a few in Ataraxia. Also, the church and the cult.

The other tomb quest that is awful is "tomb of the blighted," but this one isn't all about restore pots if you realize that the blessed water also restores, and you pass the bag around so everyone has 10 vials of water which can create small puddles of blessed which restore you. (sorry for doing this OP, but thought I'd let Thailand_den know what other Necro quest he/she hated.)

Tempest spine
Madstone
Running with devils

Xorian Cipher

Tor (my favorite)

Not positive, but I think they "fixed" it so you cant pass the bag any more. But, not positive. Yeah, I hear you about the pools restoring. The funniest is when someone new finally gets to the murky pool jumps in and realizes there's a cube in there. LOL Good times. Just don't wear anything unbound in there, as you can be fairly certain it will take permanent damage.

Prison of the Planes (Ruins of Gianthold)
Tempest Spine (free)
Crucible (Ruins of Gianthold)
Inferno of the Damned. Best done with no spoilers, work it out yourself! Hours of fun! (Necropolis part 4)
Black Mausoleum. Especially if you work out the puzzle on your own, I spent days in there working it out refusing to read any spoilers but once you get the trick it all makes sense. (Necropolis part 4)

If you're looking to buy one adventure pack buy the Shroud. If you're looking to buy two, buy Gianthold and the Shroud. Desert is getting a facelift in next mod so it's value will increase (not sure if the price will too, maybe buy it now just incase!)

I ran tomb of blighted less than a week ago and we passed the bag fine. It also drops when a player dies.

Oh ok. Good to know you can still pass the bag. Thx for the info.

The Crucible (my favorite quest in the game)
Rainbow in the Dark (unique, challenging, and fun)
Prison of Planes (great concept, cool architecture, can be fun to run multiple times)
Bring me the Head of Ghola Fan (beautiful design)
Twilight Forge/Titan Awakes (raid...great puzzles, great concept, love how the party has to split up to complete, love the final fight)

The Church and the Cult
Invaders!
Xorian Cipher
From Beyond the Grave (not F2P)
The Faithful Departed

That last one is hated by many, but I like it because it's a definite challenge which reveals who is truly paying attention, playing with precision, and has the determination to stick together as a party. As the saying goes, it really seperates the wheat from the chaff.

F2P
Made to Order (Just for the ending)
Tempest Spine (Only f2p raid and quite enjoyable)
Invaders! (The waterworks with a new twist)

P2P
The Crucible (one of my favorites)
The Coalescence Chamber (despite what most think it's a fun quest)

Bring Me the Head of Ghola Fan - really just a unique experience getting to and beating that quest.

Slavers of the Shrieking Mines is fun too.. provided you are with a group you trust, thanks to that hateful failure condition...

Wizard King and Chains of Flame. Again a distinctive experience with an interesting approach march the first time through. Talk about a sense of adventure.

And of course, POP, Madstone, and the Crucible. I wish I wasn't such a n00b in the Crucible still...

Geez, i really hate the Threnal series. Go in on this map, reuse it till your sick, then repeat three more times.

The Crucible is a really nice one. But my favorite on gianthold by far is Prision of the Planes. Might just be because i find the Marilith cute though. And dying to the last orb is hilarious.

I really like and the Dead Shall Rise too. The climbing is silly, but the last fight is fairly good. Bonus points to see the non-feather falled fighter rushing in. Might be too much undead to your taste though, after the undead levels.

The Xoriam Cypher is another fun one.

Also, you might as well take at least a tour throught the Vault of Night. It is likely that you will never come back to it. VON3 is fun, as are 5 and 6.
