Would taking a splash of sorcerer grant my wizard the faster casting of sorcerers? How about stacking various mana increasing enhancements?

Silly questions really, but I'm sure someone's tried it before I and it would save me the hassle of possibly rerolling.

yes and no.

You will cast your level 1 sorc spells fast. All your wizard spells will be wizard speed. Trust the builds, if this was allowed every wizard would have a level of sorc. I am a fan of multiclassing wizards, but if you are not going rogue splash, stay pure.

I figured as much (otherwise, everyone would be doing it, no?), but was more or less wondering how the situation was handled... faster hypno spam isn't that attractive to me, so I'll be staying pure in my build.

Oh for the love of everything that is pure and good and holy in this game...

DO NOT MULTICLASS WIZ AND SORC... EVER!!!

I am only curious about the benefits of more spell points from items from splashing sorc. or fav soul for that matter... Can this be confirmed, I am not asking for opinions, only confirmation that splashing sorc. or fav. soul to a wizard build would "double" the spell points from items. If so, would this be for only items that 1 lvl of sorc or fav. soul could use? If someone can confirm (no opinions here please :)) this it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance...

you get only 1/20 more sp from items if youre 19/1

so it would be 105 instead of 100 from archmagi

the splash just for sp is just totally not worth it

Splashing sorc gives you only a percentage of extra sp from items. I'm not certain on the math, but of 20 possible levels you should get an extra 5% per sorc level? so x 1.05 for a 1 lvl splash.

NO!!! Don't do it for minimal gain!
NEVER EVER splash or multiclass without thinking EVERYTHING through carefully!
You can ruin (i.e. seriously gimp) your character forever.

You get a bonus to SP from items based on HOW much sorc you are. So as soon as you splash something else with sorc/FvS you cut the double down. I don't know the exact number, but if you take 1 lv or sorc for example, you would get maybe 10 SP extra than the pure!!!!! Yeah, Like 1 Level out of 20 would be like a 2% increase in SP! NO where near good enough to trade off a pure level for a splash! And Nope, no fast cast increase either except for whatever spells you get for that 1 sorc level. AND that spell would FOREVER have the DC of a lv 1 sorc.
