IMO, After you're 3rd character, Korthos can start to get annoying... especially with the amount of Sahuagin.
In my opinion, it should be spiced up, with some Malenti in the quests. If you're unaware, Malenti are mutant Sahuagin who look just like Aquatic Elves. There are so many plot based things that can be done... And it's fun to fight more than about 4 different kinds of monsters for a huge quest chain.

Well in my opinion korthos shouldnt be the only way to advance from level 1-->3 with a new character.
It's fine for new players, and those wanting to go back again but really because alts is a fact of the game, there is still more characters in the lower level bracket than in the high end of the game, especially so now we have f2p players.
Having 1 or 2 more zones you can start your character in with their own storylines apart from korthos would definitely be an improvement. At the end of the quest chain you'll still catch the ship for stormreach.
I'd definitely like to see a more challenging area at level 1-3 that you cant solo through, groups of 6 x level 1-2 characters using all their experience against a good challenge and having a blast. Not looking to just skip content their forced to go through ad-nauseaum, variety at starter levels is exactly what we need.

Korthos does not have a huge quest chain. How long do you figure it takes to get off Korthos, if you wanted to hurry? (And ignoring the new Veteran feature which allows characters to start from level 4)

A_D, I agree (I really hate it when you have valid points ;) ).
Korthos doing the 'essentials' to get off the island should take MAYBE 2 hours tops. That is if you are not running them on the Solo/Normal setting and should take a lot less if you are running them Solo/Normal or not 'helping' a bunch of newer players through the 'required' quests (not that there is anything wrong with helping the new folks).
Worst case scenario:
Heyton's Crypt (Normal Setting) 5-10 minutes
The Storehouse's Secret (Normal Setting) 5-10 minutes
The Cannith Crystal (Normal Setting) 5 minutes
The Collaborator (Normal Setting) 5 minutes
Redemption (Normal Setting) 5-10 minutes
Misery's Peak (Normal Setting) 10-25 minutes
Off to Stormreach - total time at most 105 minutes
Granted if you have NEVER run these quests or are completely new to DDO the times may be extended (add about 10 minutes to each quest).
If you are taking longer than that on Korthos, get some help from someone that is willing to let you 'explore'. Personally, I think I can complete most of this on hard in the time frame mentioned above, but I have run them several times and that is without slowing down to 'help' anyone. But that is meeting all optional objectives and getting any 'bonus loot' and the extra XP bonuses. ;)
I would like to see some 'alternatives' for getting to Stormreach other than the 'start at level 4 option' that I have been hearing about. But I don't think the 'time commitment' for Korthos is all that bad. Heck back in the day you spent more time looking for the Goodblade's quest entrances than actually running them to get into the 'upper harbor'. I miss 'Survive the Low Road', 'Stopping the Sahuagin' is no where near as fun as that quest was. :D
Just my 2cp.

Nothing wrong with new high level Sahaugin quests, and they may as well bring malenti.

Maybe they could drop some undead, and devils for some variety for ya.
You'll probably never see them again in game.......

How about a ton of kobolts. Oh wait, we already had that.
So they improve it so that it's not the same ol' kobolt thing, and now we want to have another new shiny toy?

Okay, it is quick...
But it is good to have more monsters to give players a sense of less repetition...
As opposed to Stormreach, the City of a million dungeons... wait, there's only about 50. I guess it's a million kobolds.
And korthos is pretty quick... It can take about an hour. The problem is, if you're running an alt, you'll probably want to do them all on Elite... (save misery peak)
Which'll take a bit more finding a good party.
I do think there should be more lower level stuff... since Stormreach sort of lacks enough low-level dungeons.
And Korthos may not be huge... but it does have about 8 quests... which is as much as Tangleroot Gorge. Not as hard though.
