Wildnight is a celebration of passion and raw impulse. The Fury, Goddess of unbridled emotion, is the patron of all things uninhibited. When the sun sets on Wildnight, and often for several nights before, emotions boil forth. Reserved folk tend to stay away from public places, but many see Wildnight as an excuse to unleash their inner passions. The streets are filled with revelry and other more lurid events. Fights break out, lusts are fulfilled and crimes of passion abound.

From the quartermaster:

To celebrate this upcoming event in the DDO Store, we are putting The Restless Isles Adventure Pack on sale at 25% off! (sale starts Friday)

Favored Soul and Monk Classes will also be 25% off! (sale starts Friday)

Protect yourself during Wildnight!
Rest Shrines, Siberys Spirit Cakes, Defense Buffs, Resist Potions & Attack Spells will also be 25% off! (sale starts Friday)

And the SIZZLING SIGIL SALE going on NOW continues through the weekend!

Copper Sigil of Leveling
Silver Sigil of Leveling
Gold Sigil of Leveling
Platinum Sigil of Leveling

I'd read some threads where people were claiming that F2P was Turbine real plan and that VIPs were second rate. I didn't believe them, then I saw this. So I'm hoping that its an oversight and they forgot to put a sale on stuff that VIPs would buy...

Nope. I read that thread too. I'm realizing that if you're not up to your armpits in 20's already then you are 2nd class. F2P is how they want every new player to be. Still don't know why they don't sell platinum and name changes as well. I'd like to slap anyone who paid real money to get their toons hair dyed also. Yah ... not a big fan of the store you guessed right.

Nonsense.

How are VIPs treated as second class players??
VIPs get 500 TP a month, thats roughly $5 USD worth of TP. Thos 500 TP can be traded in for tomes, loot upgrades, spirit cakes, and so on. All these things further enhance your time online. Is your contention that because there is not a constant sale, or maybe a "prefered customer" status for VIPs using TPs?

Hey, now that I think about it, maybe VIPs should get 10% off on all DDO store purchases! :)
Anyhow, I fail to see how F2Ps get preferential treatment over VIPs.

Cosmetic stuff is usually big sellers from my understanding in cash shops for MMO's.... i once paid 20 bucks for a flying sword mount in one.

Heck even in things like the xbox live and the playstation network the clothes for avatars tends to make a large chunk of change.

It would be, if the servers didn't lag to holy hell when more than 15 people are in one area.

I am F2P, premium status but I would absolutely support a flat 10% discount that is not cumulative with other sales for VIPs, and to allow them to see everything in the store. This would necessitate some easy way of seeing what it is you already own and what is left to purchase in the way of races, classes, and adventure packs.

<snip> and to allow them to see everything in the store. This would necessitate some easy way of seeing what it is you already own and what is left to purchase in the way of races, classes, and adventure packs.

They block items that VIP can't purchase to prevent the support tickets titled:

"I'm VIP and I bought Tangleroot for a friend, but it's bound to my account, I want a refund!"

Or

"I'm VIP, and I bought a +1 tome of Str, but I forgot that I already used one, so I want a refund!"
