I know this isn't a popular route for rangers. Seems like the push is to go all TWF all the time, and that's fine. But I would like to go with the bow and arrow route. I don't know if ranger or fighter is better. I was thinking about heading towards the arcane archer enhancement, and then switching up to a fighter and going towards kensai with a bow specialization. Or something like that.
I was thinking about going with a drow and starting with as high of a strength and dex as possible, seeing as how I get bow strength for damage. Point blank shot as my first feat...then...what?
What else would I do?
Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks a bunch :)

If you want to use bow and arrow:
1. Be an elf (race weapon enhance)
2. Be pure ranger.
3. High dex and str
4. Take Arcane Archer
5. Know when to melee instead, which is frequently

I don't know if this is good advice but when I play my bow and arrow ranger I start off at max range then kite and or circle strafe the mobs.I take a penalty because I'm moving but the mob's cant hit me either.Sometimes it takes patience but I enjoy it. I'm level 3 as of now and am trying to solo ww.I have soloed some elite quests that have our favored long halls and wide open areas lol. Also if you can try to start on a cliff or some place high so the mobs have to work their way to you.In later parts of the game things may get harder but for now Im loving it.
