Hi all.
Let me first thank all of you regualr players. I played Years ago and came back for F2p. The forums have always been a terrific source of information and entertainment.
Please note- When responding I don't know what many acronyms mean (dps for example) I know AoE and BaB but thats it.

On to my question...
I am running a elf 6th level Ranger with base stats 12/18/12/7/13/7

I am just about to go to level 7 and am considering Multiclassing. I want to get 3 specific abilities.
I want UMD ability to use alot of those wands and other clickes.
I would love to have feather fall and haste

seeing as though my inteligence is low - am not not sure how to accomplish this most efficiently.
I don't want to turn my Arcane Archer in to a spell caster with a bow. I just want to buff myself/group when needed.

Either splash Rogue or Bard. In regards to your stats, Rogue is the only viable option.

Not possible with your stats. Although you can get Featehrfall as an item you equip before you jump down somewhere, and then afther landing, reequip your combat gear.

Rogue would be your best bet. When you take your Rogue level, dump all 7 skill points into it.

and other clickes.

Most clickies do not require UMD.

Feather Fall is available as a persistant effect on rings and boots, and is available as a static end reward for your trinket slot (Mumified Bat). You can purchase Haste potions for ~900 gp each and these last 30 seconds. Most veteran players chug these without thinking about it.

You are an archer? *Facepalm* I'll save this rant for later.

Generally speaking you should plan your build to level 20 before you roll it. This way you can make sure that you take classes in the optimal order (in this case, Rogue would have been a great pick for level 1, with your 6 ranger levels taken afterward).

A bit late in the game to be looking to go for UMD, but rogue is best for that. Keep in mind that you'll want to only mix 2 levels if you want tier III PRE's. So with that in mind...

18 ranger/1 rogue/1 fighter - extra feat (might get some UMD)
18 ranger/1 rogue/1 monk - extra feat & AC (might get some UMD)
18 ranger/2 fighter - 2 extra feats, 1 fighter toughness
18 ranger/2 monk -2 extra feats, early evasion, AC, low lvl monk stances
18ranger/1 fighter/1 monk - 2 extra feats, AC

And many others. At this point I'd say forget the UMD (too late in the game for this) and a bit late for trapsmithing as well. My money would be for the 18 ranger/2 monk. you'd get2 feats higher AC, air stance w/kamas, 1 point into wisdom, 5 HP and more stuff.

But in the end it's you that has to play it, so look around a bit, pick what you like and have fun :D

You have given me excellent food for thought. This is the highest lvl toon I have ever played and I now understand the value of pre planning. I think I will take the advice and add a lvl of monk just for fun and learn more about multi classing in order to apply that experience to the next build.

cheers!
