I can't figure out the best way to find a tangleroot gorge group, other than starting one in LFG, and I never see other tangleroot groups there. I'm not sure if it'd be easier to find people by asking in general in harbor/marketplace/house J.
Any tips?
Edit: when I said house J, i might have meant house P. Whichever one has the entrance.

Setting up an LFM is the way to go. LFM's are done on the grouping tab in the social panel. Choose to create a group and list your level range and put tangleroot in the description. Sit back and wait for join requests. Please note that it is often called Splinterskull as well as tangleroot. It is really popular, though. A great XP run. Most people run it 2-3 times on every toon when moving through levels 3-7. You probably don't see many LFG's for it because the fill quite quickly. I would be surprised if you had a lot of trouble filling one. Unless it is a low volume time of day.

LFG= Little icon pops up on your head and comment on your character says looking for group.. :p
LFM: Puts the Advertisement in the Grouping panel that you want to run tangleroot and are looking for more players to join you.
I see Plenty of Tangleroot LFM's up all the time. You probobly dont notice them because the fill up so fast.
Use the LFM Board. It works.

Also, you can monitor the general channel in the marketplace for people in your level range (probably 3-6) looking for a group. Many newer players broadcast their interest here instead of using the LFG option or the LFM group listings. If you seen one, just right click their name and send them a tell or an invite to your group. Do this after you have created your group on the LFM panel.
Generally a tell is better with /tell <Character Name> "Want to run Tangleroot?" than a blind invite, but if they are advertising that they are looking for a group actively, an invite alone is not too rude. Generally, blind invites are frowned upon.

Oh, also, if you are building a group for tangleroot try to get the following:
1 rogue or mutliclass with rogue trapsmithing skills. Very useful for getting a chest and disabling a couple traps that are in the way of completion on parts 3 and 7.
1 healer - Cleric or FvS
1 Caster - Bard, Sorc or Wizard. Crowd Control being very valuable here.
2 Melee - Fighter, Ranger, Barb, Pally, Monk, Rogue, FvS
1 Anything. Doesn't matter.
This is actually an easy series to build a group for. Very flexible and lots of mixes will work. But, if you are not very experienced in filling a group, a guideline like this could be helpful.
