How to tell if you are running in hi-res?

Why does Vista interrupt every launch of this program to tell me the Windows palette has been set to Basic to accommodate a running program?

I used half my monthly broadband limit to download the hi-res version of this game... does hi-res not run above basic palette?

How can I tell which version (hi/lo res) is running?

if you are running on windowed mode it just sets the windows palette to basic mode which gets rid of translucence etc, that stuff takes away graphics power, check your texture options if you have very high then you have the hi res version installed

You can tell it by presence of client_highres.dat file in game folder.
