drow do not start with 32pts but are considered 32pt builds with some prespent and no you do not in anyway get 32pt builds at this time from the store.

I realize the OP stated he posted in the wrong place, but the response here matches a question I have, so rather than create a new thread, I'd like to hijack this one (while staying within the context of the OP subject).

I'm a new player here to DDO (but not to MMOs in general). I fully appreciate Turbine's approach to the F2P model, but something struck me as odd: namely that you cannot (at least not at this time) purchase the 32pt unlock, but you can purchase pretty much everything else (including the classes, races, adventure packs, etc).

Why?

While I can appreciate that a large contingent of the F2P audience would rather that I indulge in the "favor grind" to unlock the ability to create 32pt builds, I do have to question the basis of such a preference. Personally, I don't think that a person who grinds favor to purchase content is somehow more deserving than someone who is willing to instead pay cash for the same content.

Now, if there is some reason that I'm missing (like I said, I'm new to DDO) for not permitting players to purchase the 32pt unlock, then I have another question: if I'm being forced to grind favor to unlock the 32pt feature, then how exactly would I be motivated to spend cash to purchase other account options? For example, if I -must- grind 1750 favor for the 32pt feature, well, I'll pick up the ability to create drow for free, and if I hold out for another 750, I'll get Favored Soul as well (not to mention the amount of "free" corresponding Turbine Points I'd get to spend on other things). I mean, there are a couple of guides I've seen so far that illustrate how to play in such a manner that you don't ever really need to spend a single dime and still be able to unlock all the same content.

I can't really imagine this is desirable for Turbine. So, would someone kindly clarify any of this for me?

Thanks in advance!
