Hey guys.. I recently saw an ad for free ddo and i was like what... ive always wanted to play this game but the whole subscription a month stopped me since im from the Uk and the europe servers aint that popular i dont think...

Anyway i was gutted that they havnt got any official plans of makin the europe servers free so i made an account on the america one.. with great difficulty i might add.. it wouldnt allow me to make an account on my internet service so i had to make an account on my mobile phone internet...

anyway enough of the blabbing, I was just wondering... Am i ok to actually play this game over here? or is it against the rules?

Have you guys seen any other people play ddo unlimited from europe? or other places apart from north america?

And finally, will i be able to purchase stuff from the american store... or will i have to give this feature a miss..

Thanks

There are plenty of people on the US servers playing from overseas. I think a bunch migrated from the European servers during the summer. I don't know about purchasing things from the store, but someone here should.

I would think that as long as you have a credit card that allows you to make purchases in other currencies, it should work fine. Though your credit card company might charge you a small additional fee on each transaction.

I'm an Aussie (best people in the world? amirite?) and store purchases are fine, credit card or paypal, both work fine.

Not that much lag (its playable) but shouldnt be an issue for anyone but australians.

You are fine to play, buy from the store and do everything else.

Not sure why you had a problem, there is a large player base from Australia/NZ, and I have played with a few from England and Europe. Ever seen the non English text in general chat?

Maybe speak to your ISP about the original issue you had signing up.

i searched it on google, and my internet provider would allow me to sign up... it was something about being from the UK.

was weird.

Your submission contained an error. Please try again. Code: #FTxXFFMHYAQ

That was the error that i got. however i have got an account now so all is good.

Im completely new to the whole ddo experience but i like the concept of the game and i look forward to meetin new people and playing!
