The level cap of 20 applies to both VIP and F2P. You can't advance past level 4 in F2P unless you loot (or purchase) a leveling sigil.

Does that help?

On the off chance that Captain Capslock isn't just trolling, here are my responses.

The maximum level in game is 20. That is also the maximum non-epic (aka silly demigod status) level in Dungeons and Dragons pen and paper editions. It takes long enough to get to 20 that it feels like 80 in WoW or 50 in City of Heroes.

IS THIS A BETA???

No, this game has existed since 2006. There was a beta for the latest release that ended about a month ago.

To achieve level 5 for a free player, you must aquire a Copper Leveling Sigil. There is a very low chance of you NOT finding one of these by the time you are ready to level up to 5, and you do not have to go out of your way to get it, as it drops as a possible end reward to all non-newbie-island quests (which you will be running anyway).

Everyone in here gave good advice, though I’d like to add a little more on the sigils from an F2P only perspective. A copper sigil is required to level past 4, which supposedly you have an okay chance of finding one, though I never did, instead I used the bonus TP I earned from early in the game.

After that a silver sigil is required to get past level 8, which according to player documentation so far, is an extremely rare reward. After that its gold and then platinum sigils, but I haven’t seen a single recorded documentation of anyone getting those yet.

The truth is that for any average gamer, reaching level 20 isn’t impossible, but it isn’t exactly feasible either, unless you pay or spend an unrealistic amount of time grinding the game. Which obviously makes it un-fun enough that you no longer want to play. In fact its not even grinding, it’s more of a lottery, becuase its complete chance whether a sigil turns up as a reward or not.

So I would say no, it isn’t really free to play for the average gamer. Unless you enjoy the frustration of extreme grinding (taking your chances with quest rewards), then yes, one day you may see the whole F2P part of the game.

So unless you intend to spend some money, I would say save yourself the frustration and hassle of finding this all out in about a weeks time and go find something else to play.

Actually it seems free to me, by the time you get to level 4 and level 8 you should probably have enough favor to have earned enough TP to buy the sigils from the store...TP you are NOT paying for but earning in game for FREE. I haven't gotten to level 12 yet but getting 25 TP every 100 favor....just seems like its possible to buy it with what they give you. I just broke 600 favor at midway to level 10 thats is 150TP plus the 50 bonues for the first Character you started on a server i believe so that should be 200 that is assuming you dont already find coper or silver and keep saving it up.

I see your pattern now, and I understand that your frustrated about about the European servers and difficulty with registering a cc overseas. That's a valid point. The rest of the garbage you've posted at least 3 times now, is completely incorrect. You are simply upset that you migrated from the Euro servers, and can't fix your billing issue. That's NOT the issue for the majority of F2P players, and your "advice" to simply quit, is simply mislead frustration. Why, after all this frustration, are YOU still playing?

You are not happy. Or even logical. Stop handing out bad advice.
