Hi Guys,

I'm currently working on a drow rogue/monk, and am looking for some advice/help/reassurance/whatever:

I play either solo or with a cleric/fighter and a cleric/paladin; hopefully the two clerics can do any necessary tanking, so I'm going to be along for traps/locks/etc., and hopefully some dps (though I don't expect that I'll really outdamage them by all that much).

I'm currently at level 5:

and will probably be doing 3monk/1rogue progressions from now on, so that I can keep my skills up; I am not sure if I should do more rogue levels, more monk levels, or drop some for perhaps ranger or fighter. Any suggestions/comments are welcome - I don't want to reroll; I'm just playing for fun with my friends, not interested in a min/max character to make everyone go "oooh".

many thanks,

Core

Hmmmm.

I rolled my rogue b4 Monks were a glint in the developers eyes however with 20/20 hindsight or until a decent respec feature is added my rogue will be forever without 1 level of Monk for AC (owing to Alignment issues). Raid buffed my Rogue currently hits top AC of 79. However if I had the lvl of Monk with +4 tomes etc mid 80's would be my top (GTWF). This is important as HP is always an issue for Rogues unless you go down the Dwarf Fighter wanna be Rogue build.

As for DPS the Rogue is a true trash mob killer. With Assassin III PrC (perma Vorpals), Belt ring combo (perma enervate), STR damage on crits and top gear crafted from shroud (I recommend Pure DPS Rad II and an off hand +6 INT Heightened awareness 2 and 4 Rad II) your Rogue will fit quite nicely in any group as an all rounder DPS/Trapsmith/Proxy healer/Scout/Instant Killer.

Rogues are by far a very different and challenging class to play. Good luck and don't listen to the Barbarians, they smell bad. :)
