Hi all. I'm new to the game, and I'm having problems locating the watchful vigil. I've found all the other explorer points, but for some reason, I must be missing something. Could someone give me a detailed location? I've scoured the map.....???

Not sure what area you are talking about, but I suggest you look for a map on these forums, or on the wiki (link in my sig).

Thanks for the response.

I'm on Korthos, the starter area. We found the 3 rare encounters, and I believe we have done all the quests, almost done with the slayer objective; but there are also 12 exploration markers. We found all the others, but "The Watchful Vigil" is proving difficult. I'm trying to find "exploration markers" on the wiki. Is it something new in the game?

Btw there is little point in trying to complete Slayer quests (unless you're really enjoying it...)

Speaking of Korthos Island, we've found and killed the mephit and the spider, but the sahuagin doesn't show up on the overlook. Does the rares spawn rarely? We've looked at that area about ten times and he's never shown up.

We finally ran into him last night, but I couldn't tell you where. We never saw him until after we started re-doing the quests.

The rares are random and some are quite rare. Say it is a 20% chance to spawn. Then you run the area again. It is still only 20% not 40% now.

Sometimes I have had really good luck in rares (getting all of Korthos in first run) and then sometimes I never see one.

Happens, that is why they are called 'rare'. ;)
