Is there anyway to include pictures on forum posts, is it to do with account status even? Having come to DDO recently with an RPG friendly player base from another game that went sour due to poor development choices, I was considering telling the story of our character's journey to Stormreach and their adventures that then unfold, but I admit I'm rather partial to using some well selected UI hidden screenshots to break up the written material a bit...

Ctrl P : To take picture in game.
Under My Documents there will be a folder probably named : Dungeons and Dragons Online. This folder will contain the picture you take in game.
Use a tool like photobucket.com or imageshack.com to upload your picture.
From there, you will be able to adjust, and alter them if needed and then add them into the Stories you will have for everyone.

Thanks for the reply, genuinely, though maybe I should have been clearer. I've been around computers for a decade and a half now, I'm all good for taking screenshots, forums and image hosting, again my bad, I was possibly a little vague in terms of the nature of the issue I was having.
My issue was, the "You may not post attachments" at the bottom of this page, and the "BB code is On" but "[IMG] code is Off". So again, in terms of the member rights on this forum, is there a way I am able to include pictures in my posts. I tested this by including an externally hosted image, and using an image tag, and unsurprisingly it just displayed it as a link.
If I'm missing some advanced posting options somewhere, I'm all ready to go, whoops, my bad...
If I was doing my spikey Linux user thing I could have started this post off with "My Documents folder, sorry don't have one...", whoops I just did the spikey Linux user thing didn't I...

Gave you some +rep for trying to be helpful Bunker, that's the most important thing with online communities like this.

My sincere apologies for resurrection this post, but it's always been a thing for me to add to a current post instead of creating another one. I have the exact same issue as drunk_harlot.
My issue was, the "You may not post attachments" at the bottom of this page, and the "BB code is On" but "[IMG] code is Off". So again, in terms of the member rights on this forum, is there a way I am able to include pictures in my posts.
Now the strange thing is that I have posted a pic in the past, but now I cannot. I get the same thing at the bottom of the page with "You may not post attachments" and "[IMG] code is Off". Is there any way around this? Did I upset someone and now, as a result, cannot post pics?
As per usual, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not entirely certain, but I think that the VIP and Premium members are the only ones that can post pics. It may even be VIP only. Like I said, not sure...

Well, I am vip. But here's the funny part. I went and just made a post and was allowed to put pics in it. I now realize, in my error, that it seems to depend on which part of the forums you post in as to whether or not pics are allowed. Don't worry, my face still hurts from the ferocious face palm I gave myself mere seconds after rezzing this post. My apologies.

Just stumbled back here again.
My attempt at a story journal wasn't that successful anyway, with inline images it may have worked better, who can say...
In conclusion the forum area *could* allow picture posting then. Given it's for telling stories it doesn't seem wildly inappropriate. Wonder if it's something that can be changed by the forum admins.
