With the addition of quests to Cerullean Hills, I think Searing Heights is the only major explorer area left with no quest destinations. I like the area. It would be nice to have a quest or two inside to draw more attention. :)

I enjoyed the new Cerulean Hills quests and Searing Heights could definitely use the same treatment. I think two or three, level-appropriate quests (with named loot!) would suffice.
It shouldn't stop at Searing Heights though. Ataraxia seems nothing but a favor run anymore. A few new quests out there would probably help. The spa was nice, but didn't help traffic flow to this adventure area.
Tangleroot Gorge, there's room and potential for one or two more quests out there. One involving Bugbears (make an addon/expansion to the bugbear fortress) and another with Trogs perhaps?
I know naysayers, it would be re-visiting old content but it would breath new life into these areas by bringing new quests.

I appreciate the support and the good ideas. :)

It most certainly would be revisiting old content. I would be the first to say this is a waste of dev resources...but if Searing Heights is kept F2P with two new quests in there it might be a nice idea. Also, the TR expansion would make sense since TR is way overpriced atm. Both could help Turbine's bottom line with premium players.
That said first priority should be fixing bugs and putting out the next high level adventure pack (since this will maintain both VIP and premium sales best).

QFT!
TR is overpriced. And Searing heights needs something for ftP players. Also another TR quest would be awesome.
The rest is right on!

I would love to see two quests in Searing Heights, like Cerulean Hills. Great area. Underused.

As VIP, I hadn't even considered the f2p aspect. What is TR going for at the moment?
Here's the reality - there will always be bugs. I certianly hope DDO does not devolve to withholding content to fix bugs. It appears they have been and continue to generate enough revenue to do both. ;)

this has been needed forever. Searing heights is a great area and has never been used to its potential. new quests would help, especially if they are tied into the 2 c-hills quests, since they are connected in the game world anyway. all this would tied in perfectly for a lowbie (4-7) raid and searing heights has got to be the front runner for the location of the upcoming-and-i-am-sure-soon-to-be-announced lowbie raid .................................................. .................................................. ....right keeper??????????

About the same as amarath if I remember correctly. Delara's is way out there too on price.

I guess they value those end rewards quite a bit. :D

They are the main powerlevelling quests - former VIPs are pretty likely to buy them for that reason alone.

Ataraxia's Haven has a quest (Reclamation) that is excellent for levelling now. It got a MASSIVE xp boost.

Good point. I like Ataraxia's. I think some shy away from it because the explorer area has some tough creatures, especially for the untwinked and the newbies; there can be a learning curve there without a vet along. I have seen party wipes in that explorer area ... The quests themselves are challenging, at level, as well.

In catching up with my DDOcasts, I heard on the 12/12 broadcast (10th Ask the Devs) that SH is due for some changes, including the introduction of a new evil organization. Looks like some new adventures are coming to this area. :)
And, as always, great work on the DDOcast Mockduck a/k/a Jerry!

Tolero's Update notes say something to the tune of, "The rubble has been cleared from the path in Searing Heights, but there are still no quests . . . for now muhahahaha."

They did not give a specific date, they only said "coming soon ...". I would guess it is safe to say in the next update or two we will see something.

In addition to those mentioned, expansion of Threnal would be nice, that is a very underused area. I am suprised it was never turned into an adventure zone.
Also, ack, I forget the name, but that little zone right next to the entrance to Tangle Root.... where that hated "Save The Mummy" quest is... that also has expansion potential.
