armor wont show/cant find friends

wen i play on my cleric i wear +1 full plate armor and it shows me as im naked
wen i play on any character i wont let me see any of my friends whom i know are on the same server and spot for a fact, but we can still hear each other in chat

any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure what to tell you about the armor thing, but it sounds like you are in different instances in the same area. If that is so, there is a small drop down menu near the map orb that you can use to move between instances.

no...It is attached to the top of your map. The tab that actually tells you where you are.
For instance....If you are in the Harbor, the tab at the top of your map should say Harbor....if there happens to be multiple instances of the Harbor dur to over population then you will also see a number next to the name.....you can then use the drop down arrow ON THIS TAB, to change instances. You have to be in the same instance to see and hear eachother.

im in korthos atm, it doesnt have a number. and also my friends could still hear me in the general chat

I see soomeone beat me to it, but yeah what the previous poster said. It would have the title be something like HARBOR-1. You would click on the HARBOR-1 title and a menu would drop down with all of the other harbor instances. It's like that for every public zone if there are too many people in that zone.

Are you in sunny Korthos or snowy? That does make a difference for some stupid reason too. It's the only place like that in the game. If so, every one needs to be in Sunny Korthos to hang.

Are your friends still in snowy? If so they will have to find a way to abandon the tutorial stuff (snowy Korthos) and go to stormreach. When they come baack they are in sunny Korthos. If ya need help I'll log on a lowbie and see if I can get you sorted. I'll be on my Barbarian, Moxa.

well we already met up all day then i log out and in real quick and all armors i wear are invisible, and i cant find anyone
(were talking on a vent server)

Ok, did you try to log out and back in? or did you try swapping characters? Sometimes that will fix the issue as well.

yea i did switch characters, he has the dropdown but i still cant see my friend for some reason

well I'm at a loss then my friend. Did you try using the help menu? Sometiimes that can get you the answer. I'm not sure what else to say. Good luck, and i hope you get it sorted so you can play.
