View Full Version : Are any of the Drow Enhancements worth takeing?

I have a Wizard and a Ranger that's a Drow. I would like to know if i should or if it is worth getting any of the Drow's enhancements other than the Dex enhancement? If any are worth getting please let me know which i should look into. Thank you :)

Not really... If you're a DEX based ranger, the attk/dmg ones and the DEX enhc are good. On your wizard, nothing that you'll use past lvl 7.

The melee attack and damage enhancements for Rapier / Shortsword are generally good for rangers. They can even help the wizard fight a bit when out of spellpoints, at low level. Save boosts can be OK too.

Actually, they are. Especially for a low will save Rgr.
Most people just don't think about them.

Wizard doesn't need them as much.
(but mine has the SR ones)

The enchantment one can be, if you happen to need it. Which is probably yes if your enemies have stuff like Greater Command.

But the Spell Resistance ones are brokenly weak, and I've been pushing the devs to crank it up to be worth something. (Which means tier 4 would give you SR 11+HD)

I think they should dump enhancements for SR for drow and give them their SR like they do for monks.....

SR enhancement is totally wiped out by a single cleric spell, that beats it hands down, also several items that do the exact same thing.

In addition, Drow just get no real love at all.

Drow should receive a 2 tier enhancement to Intelligence/Charisma/Dexterity based either on their class or just optional that if you take one line you cant have the other.

They should keep the SR as a choice, but also have racial bonus' to stealth, and some of their inherent racial spells, not to mention immunity to darkness.
