Uh, Hi. Could someone give me a hand? I'd appreciate it.

My problem is thus: I can't. I'm really not sure how to skin my UI for DDO; I'm being referred to folders that don't exist, and when I made said folder, nothing happened. None of the skins I try to use show up in the list.

I have removed everything I added, so my game is just as it was before. Would someone please walk me through skinning my UI? I'm really sorry if this is answered, or annoying. I'd appreciate any and all help I can get.

As annoyed with this situation as I am, that is still really funny. Thanks for the laugh. :D

There is no ui/skins folder. When I made one and added three different skins, they still did not show up in the options menu under the UI change bar. What's wrong?

Also, I don't have a 'dungeons&dragons' folder. It says 'DDO Unlimited'. Could that be it?

That was the point and intent.

Glad to help that much. :)

Well, maybe not so much help as provided comedic relief. Still trying to find the answer.

The folders have to be made under the Dungeons & Dragons directory in your Documents folder.

I'm on vista, here's what my path looks like using the DDOLite Skin:

C:\Users\Jason\Documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online\UI\skins\ddolite

I had to make the UI, skins and ddolite directories.

On XP it'd be something very close to:

c:\documents and settings\jason\my documents\Dungeons and Dragons Online\UI\skins\ddolite

Very cool, I'm gonna test this here in a minute. I am indeed on Vista; also, I have that folder in my documents folder, but are you referring to the installation directory or that one? I'm gonna try it anyway, and I really, really appreciate the help.

hey,

there's some pretty useful instructions at the top of our BlackBird UI thread here:

http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=315299

the important bit is you need to create the

ui/skins

directories within your My Documents area and _not_ anywhere within the game installation area.
